The Spanish La Liga 2017-2018, also known as the Spanish La Liga or Primera League, started on August 18, 2017, and will continue until May 20, 2018. This will be the 87th drawing of this tournament.
In the previous season, the winner of the Examples was Real Madrid, beating its main competitor, the Catalan Barcelona, by 3 points.
As in previous editions, 20 teams will take part in La Liga. To the 17 participants of the 2016/17 season, 3 representatives of the Segunda were added. They were the 3 best teams of the second most important football championship in Spain: Getafe, Levante and Girona.
The main match of Examples, which is called “El Classico”, will take place on December 20. Real Madrid and Barcelona, as in every season, are the main contenders for the championship gold medals. Atlético Madrid, which became the La Liga champion in the 2013-2014 season, will try to impose a fight on the giants of Spanish football.
Another main confrontation of the Spanish championship will be the battle “Ronaldo VS Messi”. These two best players compete with each other in terms of goals and assists every season. Last season, this fight was won by Leo Messi, who also became the best goalscorer of the European championships.

Spanish Football Championship Calendar 2017 – 2018
The 87th edition of La Liga will begin in the last month of summer - August 19, 2017, and end on May 13 next year. The Spanish championship involves an almost two-week winter break, which will divide the football tournament into two halves. The first part of the championship starts on August 19 and ends on December 20–25. The second half of the championship will begin on January 4–9, and will last until May 13, 2018.
Thus, the upcoming season will be slightly shorter than the previous one. The last edition of Primera also started on August 19, but its finish is scheduled only for May 21.
La Liga teams 2017 – 2018
20 teams representing all corners of Spain will compete for medals in the competition. Each club will play 39 games. The list of participants guaranteed participation in the 2017/2018 season looks like this:

According to the regulations, the three worst teams at the end of the season are relegated to the Segunda, the second most important professional league in Spain. "Levante"

"Girona"
Another almost 100% major league rookie. Moreover, this Catalan FC is doubly new, because it has never played in La Liga before. However, unlike Levante, Girona does not have such an impressive lead over their rivals. Therefore, the Catalans may well miss their finest hour.

Lionel Messi began to save the situation: it was he who scored 9 goals in the past 5 rounds, securing major victories for the blue garnets over Eibar and Espanyol. If Barcelona maintains the given pace, then the title of the best team in the country will inevitably move from Madrid to Catalonia.
Champions League contenders
Let's assume that the first two places have already been reserved by Real and Barça. This is not the end of the battle in the standings, because there are still prizes that give the right to compete in the Champions League and receive substantial bonuses. When thinking about which club can take 3rd and 4th place, the following teams come to mind:

- "Valencia".
Atlético Madrid had an unsuccessful start to the 2017-2018 Spanish Championship, but a series of away games was to blame. In any case, fans have nothing to worry about yet: the team is consistently gaining points in the domestic championship.
Valencia is also vying for a place in the top four. The main problem of the “bats” in previous seasons remained instability - big victories alternated with disappointing defeats. The first games of the championship showed that the team has character and a goal to take a place in the European Cup zone. So far, Valencia has no problems gaining points in matches against outsiders, and also competes in games with local giants.
