According to historians and archaeologists, the Po Nagar Cham towers were built in the 7th-12th centuries. Initially, there were 8 towers built on the territory, which was used for religious rituals already in the 2nd century BC. AD

Only 4 towers have survived to our time. The entrance ticket costs 22,000 VND (approximately $1). Getting from the embankment is easier and cheaper by bus number 4. The fare is 7000 VND (about 21 rubles). You can also take a taxi to the Cham Towers for about VND 20,000-30,000. The distance is small, you have to pass through the bridge and there will be towers. Even if someone is not interested in the architecture of ancient buildings, the stunning view of the city from the towers will not leave anyone indifferent.

Long Son Pagoda with White Buddha in Nha Trang - you can visit on your own

Entrance to the pagoda is completely free! Until you reach the Buddha, there will be many attempts on your money by beggars of all stripes and ages, sellers of sticks and water. They will even sell entrance tickets for money. Don't get fooled.

Apart from the various permanent residents of the Pagoda, the place is beautiful. The Buddha is huge and majestic. 144 steps lead to it. They say that if you pass all the steps, your sins will be forgiven. You can get there by public transport - buses number 6, 1, 2 run.

Cathedral in Nha Trang - you can visit on your own

The Cathedral in Nha Trang is one of the important places for tourists. Here you can feel the real peace and quiet, which contrasts so much with the chaos of Vietnamese life, but not on weekends. And in general, my advice to you is not to attend any excursions on weekends. A lot of local people.

There is no other must-see attraction in Nha Trang -. About him written separately.

These were in Nha Trang in Vietnam attractions and excursions, prices in 2019, as well as a list of places to visit on your own. The average prices for excursions in Nha Trang in 2019 are $30-50. If you go on your own, you can save money. I thank the guys from Vietnam for their help in preparing this column about Nha Trang -

Numerous attractions attract visitors to Nha Trang from all over Vietnam and from different countries, near and far. No wonder this city is considered the tourist capital of the country. He fell in love with our compatriots.

Tour agency Nha Trang

Who will help the representatives of the "moral image" who are tired of the flight? Who will save you from "extra bumps" and organize a quality vacation in a short time.

Numerous Russian-speaking travel agencies successfully solve this problem in Nha Trang.

There are also individual guides who, in their words, conduct unique excursions and generously share valuable information about the city and country. Their prices are usually a little high, but they have their pluses.

Of the Vietnamese tour companies, we came across The Sinh Tourist - this is an international organization, besides Vietnam, also working in Cambodia and Thailand. Organizes excursions and carries out bus transportation of passengers, including on slip basses.

The prices are good - not high, though without a Russian-speaking guide. I liked everything, especially jumping from a ship into the water during an excursion to the southern islands.

In different tour companies, they try not to repeat themselves in the preparation of routes. The day trip program consists of a visit to one or more attractions located nearby.

All these facilities are located within walking distance or you can use bus number 4 for 7,000 dong per person, the cost of visiting is free or for $ 1-2. Hour for the selected object. With a free map, you can easily go through these routes on your own at a convenient time. For the first acquaintance, on the way to the supermarket, the market or the beach - that's it.

What to see on your own in Nha Trang

If you can safely ride scooters (mopeds), you can easily get to almost any. In this case, the cost savings will be significant.

Our "little flock" traveled independently on rented bikes to most of Nha Trang's attractions. When traveling to Mui Ne, Dalat and Da Nang, bikes were taken on the spot.

The rental price is ~$5 per day - almost the same everywhere. I liked it, but that's not the right word.

The collected materials about outdoor activities in Nha Trang are presented in a separate article.

Some of the attractions in Vietnam are free or have a symbolic cost of entrance tickets. Tickets are purchased upon arrival of the group.

Only single sights are advantageous to visit in advance by buying a tour. The place of purchase is very important.

For example, going to Halong Bay, at first we thought that on the shore, at the pier, we would be able to buy a cool tour without extra overpayment. But when I got there, I realized that it wasn't...

It must be admitted that in conditions of a severe shortage of time, buying excursions from tour companies is often justified.

In between various excursions in Nha Trang, you can take a breather, just sit and listen to the sound of the surf, for example, on Bai Dai Beach.

Truth in numbers. Good luck! And have a nice holiday!

The main resort places in Vietnam where you can have a wonderful time with your child are the famous city of Nha Trang and Phan Thiet. There are many “interesting things” here, but traveling inland is no less exciting, safe and quite within the power of children.

The mountain town of Dalat

Both the city of Dalat itself, founded by the French high in the mountains, and its surroundings are simply saturated with places that attract travelers on vacation with children. Transparent and cool air, no heat or humidity - one sheer pleasure.

Excursions usually include an overview of urban places that deserve time and attention, and, of course, marvelous natural attractions.

Many corners of nature with quiet lakes, flowing waterfalls, picturesque paths winding among the mountain cliffs are waiting, they can’t wait to meet the guests.

In order not to tire the children, it is easiest to rent a car on your own (moped or scooter - for families with teenagers), or buy a group tour to enjoy the beauty without the hassle and fuss.

Note - Dalat has a great price for coffee and cocoa.

Wishing Falls and Prenn Park

Do not know where to go with a child to take a break from the hot sun - Prenn Amusement Park at the foot of the mountain is a wonderful place to play and walk with children, which naturally formed around two waterfalls that make an indelible impression. The delightful view of falling and singing water fascinates and pacifies. And if you walk with the kids along the path under the jets of water, then the roar and shudder of the water "beast" gives rise to the feeling that the entire rock wall under it will collapse right now, causing genuine fear and awe - and this is a great natural attraction. But the Prenn Fall waterfall also has a secret - a wish that is made while passing under powerful jets will surely come true. For kids, the park has a small but very nice zoo with a bunch of healthy crocodiles, picturesque peacocks, funny bears, deer, martens and monkeys, which the kids actively feed with bananas. Everyone who wants to immediately climb on the elephants and take a walk along a rather extreme route with slopes and descents, on which it seems that the imperturbable giant will now somersault down the hill along with screaming tourists on his back. In addition to elephants, the guys will have another ride - not on horses and donkeys, but on real ostriches - the descendants of ancient and dangerous velociraptors. Sitting on the back of a powerful bird covered with feathers, and feverishly clinging to the reins, the brave “passenger” seems to find himself in the Jurassic Park, sitting on a predatory, swift dinosaur. And the parents, meanwhile, admire the marvelous orchids, for which a separate place is allotted in Prenn - a whole garden.

Crazy House, Dalat

1 of 5

Crazy House is a unique fantasy architectural structure and an amazing place where you should definitely go with children, and for adults, Crazy House is no less interesting.

This is both a family hotel and a cafe with a gallery "in one bottle", or rather, in one tree, "exhausted" by crooked windows and rooms that are connected to each other by passages, curved staircases, winding corridors.

Moving through such an amazing three-story house is reminiscent of Alice's fabulous journey. Inside the hotel there are many rooms with the names of animals, decorated with special decorations and hand-made furniture - the room of the Eagle, the Kangaroo, the Tiger and the Ant and a bunch of others in which you can stay overnight with the children. It is impossible to find the same premises here - they are all surprisingly different. Next to the main "tree" are small two-story bungalows, reminiscent of the Russian "hut-on-chicken legs", where Yaga lived with a bone leg. Children quickly get used to the Crazy House, climbing narrow and steep multi-colored ladders, and parents literally “fall through” into childhood, enjoying the feeling of another world. Crazy House is open every day until seven in the evening, and you can get here from the city center on your own or by taxi (the full name of the destination is Hang Nga Hotel).

Cable car flight and Thien Vien Monastery in Da Lat

A fascinating excursion that combines a unique journey through the air over the most beautiful landscape paintings, and acquaintance with the picturesque territory of the Buddhist monastery Thien Vien Truc Lam Monastery on Mount Phung Hoang. Here you can spend half a day walking with your children along the green silky lawns among the dense shrubs, skillfully decorated in the form of animal figures, relaxing in colorful gazebos, admiring the pagodas with magnificent statues of sandalwood and gilding, and a huge bell.

For teenagers, it is very interesting to get acquainted with the life and dwellings of the monks.

A lot of tourists get to the monastery by funicular, which runs until five in the evening. And having been saturated with impressions, they slowly go down the mountain along a narrow path past mysterious thickets, a quiet pond and temples, enjoying the beauty of the views that open from a height.

Dumbri and Dasara - the power of waterfalls and the power of the jungle

Dambri Nature Park is such an impressive place that you should definitely take your child with you. Giant trees and dense thickets, seething unruly waterfalls overgrown with mosses, rocky cliffs lead to the wild, ancient world - not familiar, in which lizards, reptiles and other terrible creatures reigned. Dumbri Falls is furious, powerful, and its “younger brother” – the three-tiered Da Sara – is more shy, mysteriously hiding in the lush vegetation of the jungle.

There are different ways to get to the waterfalls. To Dasar under the overhanging crowns of tropical giants is a stunning descent on a sleigh, where the sharp turns are breathtaking. If you are with young children, it is better to slide down gradually, without high-speed excesses, taking great pictures along the way. Teenagers will insist on a quick descent, persuading their parents not to slow down, but to completely surrender to this wild ride.

Along the path running uphill through the thickets, you can get from Dasar to the mighty Dumbri. It leads through such fabulous places that you involuntarily constantly touch giant trees to make sure that this is not a dream. Colossal trunks, as if they had come here from the dark Jurassic millennia, mysterious thickets of giant ferns and real bananas, turning yellow through the foliage, are very impressive for children. You don’t even have to strain to imagine how some prehistoric horned beetle, as tall as a man, crawls out of high grass. Along the path along the river you can go straight to the Dumbri waterfall. A roaring stream of water cut a narrow deep gorge in the rocks, over which gigantic branches of trees gloomy hang. If walking along the path seems tiring, you can ride to the waterfall on a modern elevator located on the other side of the river. The viewing platform offers a majestic view of thundering water rushing down from a height of tens of meters, creating a sparkling water fog around.

The guys should definitely visit the thundering streams of water - on the back on the right side, hiding in a rocky cave. It is a very exciting feeling to stand near the roaring "beast" and feel its cold "water breath".

Land of Adventure Winpearl Land, Nha Trang

Winpearl Land is a chic resort island of Khon Che (Bamboo), where kids and adults alike will find an abundance of entertainment, joys and fun rides. Description for them can be written endlessly. The island park is adored by all visitors, regardless of age. Parents are attracted by restaurants, bars, shops, children enjoy games, animal performances, water slides and white sand on the beach all day without interruption. Vinpearl Land offers its guests an oceanarium, a mini-circus, a carousel and amusement park, a whole street with a bunch of shops, an amphitheater, where in the evenings colorful jets of fountains color the purple sky, and on weekends - a colorful carnival procession. The Fountain Show takes place twice in the evening and it is a very bright spectacle of singing jets of rich colors - aquamarine and yellow, purple-cherry and red, emerald and ultramarine. In addition, cute puppet shows are held on the territory both during the day and in the evening, attracting cheerful kids. Many parents stay here with their children for several days, alternating beach comfort with entertainment pleasures, and someone generally lives in a hotel on the island for 2-3 days or a whole week.

IN Vinpearl Land Water Park you can easily get lost - there are so many slides and pools of different shapes and sizes. One of the slides - wavy - consists of six rainbow stripes with colored water - unrealistically beautiful.

Holidays are thought out in detail for the smallest guests frolicking in shallow water, and for those who would like extreme experiences.

On performance of dolphins and fur seals can be accessed any day. It lasts about half an hour, and many trainers are Russian. The show has been worked out at a very high level and leaves a strong impression not only on the children, subdued by cute sea animals.

Oceanarium "Underwater World" in the Park gives children an acquaintance with hundreds of species of bizarre fish - blue, gold and blue striped, shining and orange, like oranges, and even pink wavy stripes. At the beginning of the exposition, even before entering underwater tunnel, you can stroke the rough shells of huge turtles, try to catch lizards by the tail and be “afraid” of large multi-colored chameleons with round rotating eyes. For teenagers, shark embryos at different stages of development are a very educational spectacle. Along the underwater tunnel made of transparent glass, guests are taken by a path, which is especially convenient with kids. Under the bewitching gentle melody above you and on either side of you, as in a dream, various inhabitants of the ocean depths slowly swim. Children, naturally, come to a quiet delight from hefty sharks.

There are a lot of attractions - from the simplest and most colorful - for kids, to the most "fierce" - which take your breath away when you hang upside down over the park. There is a whole square with a Ferris wheel that spins in different directions, with cars running in circles and the obligatory roller coaster. Teenagers, squealing with adrenaline, accelerate along the railroad on electric sledges, looking at the city shining with lights from above.

On the territory of the games, you can, forgetting about everything, spend the whole day entertaining the guys in 4D cinemas, and a huge 5D hall with three screens, where you should definitely go. Here everything is arranged according to the last word of the "volumetric" cinema - and moving chairs, and the effect of water splashes, and even the scenery that appears right during the viewing.

The question of how to get to Vinpearl Land is quite relevant. The cheapest and quietest way is by ferry, which takes tourists to the island every half an hour. The trip takes 20 minutes. By boat it turns out a little more expensive, but also three times faster. And, of course, the most impressive road to the Park is the cable car, on which in 15 minutes, having loaded the whole family into a cabin, you can “fly” to the world of joys at the height of the flight of birds, getting a lot of pleasure from this kind of attraction. On a clear day, you can see the lazily sighing sea, white beaches, the island and all of Nha Trang. Located next to the Paragon Hotel.

Note! You are not allowed to bring your own drinks and food into the park. Inside there are many cafes and restaurants (the price is higher than on the mainland), where it is easy to feed the kids. For a baby, it is worth taking a stroller with you, since the Park is huge and “personal children's transport” will not let parents get tired.

Ecopark Young Bay - "water falling from heaven"

1 of 3

Yang Bay Ecological Park is an excellent peaceful place where you can relax with the whole family, and even with kids from a year old. Moreover, if the children have not yet grown to 90 cm, they are allowed into this paradise oasis for free. Translated, Yang Bei means "water falling from heaven." The waterfall is really powerful, especially after rains, and consists of two turbulent streams falling from the top of the mountain - one with fairly clear water, and the other - Yang Kang - with yellow due to the admixture of clay. Right there - by the seething streams, there is a beach with sand, sunbeds, benches in the shade of thickets and even with a swing hanging right on the trees. For the convenience of guests, there is also a toilet where everyone changes clothes. On the steps, everyone rises directly to the source of the waterfalls. The territory of the park is huge, but carefully groomed, with an abundance of greenery, bush figures, flowers, trees and various animal sculptures - very large and especially interesting for a child. It is very convenient that with small visitors you can move around the territory in small trams.

With children, you can start your journey through the park with a visit to the Himalayan bears, shaggy and good-natured, and they are allowed to be fed with a pumpkin, which they cling to a fishing rod.

It turns out fun and safe entertainment for a kid of any age. Next is to go to the fights of pugnacious cockerels. This is not a bloodthirsty sight at all, since it is forbidden to torture animals in Vietnam. Therefore, you can not be afraid to injure the psyche of the child during this gambling and noisy battle. From the cock arena they go to pig races, representing for spectators of any age amusing competitions of plump and clumsy, but resilient and simply “swift” piglets. One of the most adrenaline-pumping activities in Yang Bay, but more geared towards teenagers and adults, is riding an ostrich. As a rule, riding this powerful bird leaves an unforgettable feeling.

If the children are already hungry, then on the same tram they get to a restaurant located in the center of the pond. Here you can taste delicious beef-like ostrich meat and melt-in-your-mouth crocodile skewers. The hot mineral baths, located on the mountain, are reached by two bridges suspended over gorges with mountain rivers. And the views from the bridges are unspeakably beautiful. Rocks, water, sky and greenery. The complex consists of several baths and pools with water of varying temperature. Nearby there is a toilet and cabins for clothes. The treatment experience is amazing. It is incredibly relaxing, pleasant and very beneficial for the nervous system of the youngest children. In addition to splashing in the pools, a voluminous shower in the form of a gentle rain and a jog under the strongly tonic jets of Charcot give great pleasure. Two hours in hot springs is enough to get a huge portion of bliss and undeniable benefits.

A wonderful part of the excursion to Yang Bay Falls can be an accompanying walk to the crocodile farm, which is located near the entrance to the park. At the entrance to the farm, guests are greeted by a colossal figure of a crocodile. Wonderful photos are obtained when a calm baby is planted right in the wide-toothed mouth of a huge alligator.

Both children and adults have a lot of fun here, because you can not just watch, but actively participate in the feeding of ancient reptiles. Everyone is given fishing rods with pieces of meat, and a noisy game begins with crocodiles jumping up and down trying to grab the bait.

Wonders of Fuyen

The coastal lands of Phu Yen are located in the north of the country - beyond Nha Trang - and literally captivate with their magical beauty, worthy of the best panoramic photography in the fantasy style.

Mosses of Xom Ro Coast

The view of the marvelous embankment, wrapped in a velvet emerald carpet of fluffy mosses, against the background of the swaying blue-green waves of the sea, makes a truly fabulous impression.

Wild beaches of Bai Mon

These untouched by man, deserted and beautiful beaches, nestled in Vung Rho Bay, are an hour and a half drive from Nha Trang. The purest fine sand, clear water, where at a depth of about 3 meters you can see the life of sea fish, pearly surf foam and bright green hills with an old lighthouse. Here are secret places, not explored by tourists, and rest in a quiet bay brings strange dreams about another time and distant sailings to strange beautiful shores.

Pillars of Giants Ghenh Da Dia

1 of 4

Numerous columns and slabs of time-eaten volcanic basalts, born in a "loud-boiling" goblet of fire and water, resemble the Irish Giant's Road, where the young heroes of the Harry Potter saga hid. The place is incredibly picturesque. And from the sight of black ancient rocks rising against the background of the pink-blue sky, and silky turquoise-colored waves, on which, as in a dream, fishing boats with sails sway, it is impossible to take your eyes off for hours.

Northern Islands of Nha Phu Bay (Nha Trang)

1 of 3

An exciting journey that your children will not regret for a moment (plan it first) is made daily from Dathyong Pier from Nha Trang to Nha Phu Bay to the islands, where an abundance of entertainment awaits everyone. On the way, they stop at the island of Dao Hoa Lan, where they find themselves in a fairy tale of blooming orchids. While the parents are enjoying the scent of the flowers, the children are particularly attracted to feeding the deer with nuts, riding ostriches and elephants, which leave "cool" photos, and the wonderful performance of the elephant in the company of bears. Teenagers enjoy the opportunity to ride a jet ski. If the kids get tired of the abundance of impressions, you can relax on a clean beach and have a tasty snack.

Then cognitive entertainment begins on Dao Khi Monkey Island, where a huge number of smart and funny animals live, striving to quietly steal cookies and nuts from your pocket.

Communication and observation of the life of monkeys climbing rocks, playing with their cubs right next to the guests is very interesting - and not only for children.

Important! It is allowed to feed the animals only with dried fruits and chips (they are sold at the entrance). Explain to the children that food should be given in small pieces and not show the whole package, because the monkeys, despite their good nature, get excited by the sight of goodies and may bite on the hands. In addition, do not allow the kids to build faces and tease the little animals - they understand everything and are offended.

Halong Bay - the world of natural fantasy (160 km from Hanoi)

1 of 3

The mysterious and stunning unearthly beauty of Tonkin Bay in Halong Bay is not in vain considered by many to be one of the most amazing places on the planet Earth. This is a real natural wonder of the world with islands, wild beaches, grottoes and overgrown slopes, where you should definitely go with children. To fully absorb the magical charm of Halong Bay with thousands of steeply rising islands, like ships sailing on an emerald mirror of waters, it is best to come here during the period September - November, so as not to miss the warm sunny days.

For millions of years, winds and waves have created these islands, covered with wild dark green thickets on a white limestone base, rocky cliffs, mysterious grottoes and caves, of which the most beautiful is Dau Guo. Many islands of Halong Bay, like real sculptures, have a bizarre shape and a name corresponding to it - Elephant (Voi), Male head, Roof, Dragon, Sail, Fighting cock (Ga Choi).

You can start your trip around the bay by exploring the ancient caves that formed before the first man appeared on Earth, or walking through the wonderful park of Cat Ba Island, where the most picturesque and gentle beach of Lan Ha Bay stretches. It is best to sail the bay with a guided tour, which is much cheaper.

Tour of Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) and the Mekong River

1 of 4

Such a trip is multifaceted and exciting for the whole family, as it combines the urban aura of bustling Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) with the wild beauty of the Mekong Delta. The best option is a two-day tour, unhurried and eventful.

Noisy, unlike anything else, Saigon will introduce you to unusual historical monuments, architectural contrasts, original culture and give you rest in well-groomed beautiful parks - real oases of comfort and peace, as if by magic born in the center of the whirlpool of city life.

The performances of the Puppet Theater, which are held on the water, will fascinate with their beauty and expression, small cozy restaurants will “feed” delicious and satisfying food, famous jewelry and souvenir shops will surprise and delight with unique products, and shopping streets will occupy the attention of parents for hours with a choice of inexpensive, but high-quality goods for children, and for themselves, of course.

During the city tour, as a rule, they visit the Ben Tan market, the magnificent Catholic Cathedral of Notre Dame de Saigon.

Both adults and children adore fun walks around Chinatown on bicycle rickshaws.

One of the most visited places in Saigon is the underground city of Cu Chi, which stretches for almost 200 kilometers, in the narrow tunnels of which thousands of fragile, but invincible Vietnamese were hiding, resisting well-fed American aggression. It will be especially interesting here for teenagers who are interested in history and real courage.

On the second day, travelers go to the ancient Mekong Delta, literally stepping out of the bustle of a huge city into the picturesque places of a unique region of Vietnam. This mighty river and the friendly land that surrounds it introduces its guests to amazing temples, floating markets, colorful villages and honey apiaries, “delicious” candy factories and boat trips around the islands immersed in flowers, where children regale themselves with juicy fruits.

Kanzo wild mangroves

The ancient mangrove forests of Kanzo are an area of special unique life, boiling at the mouth of the Saigon River, where many travelers seek to enter. For children and adults, these mysterious thickets on the water with bizarre trees make an unforgettable impression of an alien landscape or a place from terrible, but extremely interesting fairy tales. The heat of the tropics here is replaced by the life-giving coolness of the humid forest and the salty wind from the sea.

During a canoe trip, this place will surprise, amaze and delight you more than once.

And the sight of countless hordes of bats flapping their wings that populated the date groves will excite not only children, but also parents. In the spring, in April, caravans of birds fly and fly here to lay their eggs. In the thickets of the Saigon riverbed, the life of many inhabitants of the mangroves is thriving, and among the 100 species of animals here you can see wild cats, fat pythons, saltwater crocodiles, otters, foxes and monkeys who willingly communicate with visitors to their kingdom. Traditionally, travelers visit a pond where it is allowed to catch fat carps, get acquainted with friendly deer, which children love to stroke, take pictures with nimble monkeys. And how much immediate joy and excitement the feeding of toothy alligators from a fishing rod brings when they swim among them on a raft. Climbing the 25-meter Tang Bong tower is worth the effort and patience, because from its height an extraordinary spectacle of boundless wild mangroves opens up, lurking in its wilds many tempting secrets.

Treasures of Mui Ne and Phan Thiet

Not far from the fishing village of Mui Ne and the resort of Phan Thiet, there are attractions that are interesting for the whole family, and they can be seen in half a day. These are Red and White Dunes, Lotus Lake, Fairy Stream and Reclining Buddha, Ke Ga Lighthouse and Crocodile Farm.

White and red dunes

1 of 4

The white dunes look like snow-white hills about 80 meters high. It's a very quiet and magical place. It seems that from Vietnam you get straight into the hot sands of the Sahara. It takes about an hour to get to the dunes from Mui Ne and usually a trip there is combined with an excursion to the Red Dunes. The sandy area is large, so it is easier to drive up to the ATV camp, which is located on the south side of the white dunes. There you can rent small and large vehicles inexpensively and “cut through” the snow-white sands with a breeze. Nearby in a cafe you can have a bite to eat at reasonable prices and admire one of the lakes of the lotus kingdom, which miraculously formed like a wet pearl sparkling in the sun right in the middle of this white desert. The red dunes are less majestic than the white dunes, but are also very beautiful and are very close to Mui Ne. In the daytime, the sands are golden, like in the desert, but in the evening, at sunset, they really turn pink.

In addition, it is here that children can ride the slides on durable oilcloth sleds, which are offered by local children for a very small fee.

What is worth remembering if you are going to the dunes with children? The first is the timing of the visit. The special beauty of these places is revealed at sunrise and sunset, and, in addition, it is too hot during the day. Be sure to take water bottles, panama hats and closed shoes with you - the sand burns.

How to get there? The easiest way, judging by the reviews on the forums, is with a tour by bus or jeep. Or rent a car, but if you are going to travel on your own, you need to take a map of Mui Ne and Phan Thiet and think over the route, since very often tourists mistake ordinary sandy mounds for dunes.

Red Fey Creek

Near Mui Ne, between a sandy canyon and a dense bamboo thicket, Fairy Creek murmurs, a very positive place where you should definitely go with your children. The bright terracotta color of the canyon, contrasting with the greenery of the tropical thickets and the blue of the sky, pleases the eye and greatly uplifts the mood. The depth of the stream is about knee-deep for children, it is very convenient to walk, and in the warm bubbling water it is pleasant to feel the fine silky sand with your feet. At the end of the stream, you can hear the sound of a small waterfall, which can be seen by climbing the slope. Apparently, it is not for nothing that this place is called magical.

Maybe - the special energy of the earth, maybe - the natural beauty makes it special, but people come out of the Fey Creek renewed.

Which excursions are worth going to and which ones are not. Which trips to buy in travel agencies, and which excursions are better to go on your own. Prices, instructions, photos and reviews - today from the blog.

Excursions in Nha Trang can be divided into several types:

Sea excursions around the islands (Northern Islands, South Islands),

Excursions to remote beaches outside the city (Zoklet, Cam Ranh, etc.),

Excursions to waterfalls and hot springs (waterfalls Yang Bay, Baho),

Excursions to the neighboring provinces of Nha Trang (the mountainous city of Dalat, the province of elephant hunters Dak Lak),

Long distance travel (Ho Chi Minh City, Hoi An, Halong, Cambodia)

Excursions to SPA and entertainment centers (Winperl, Thap Ba mud baths, I-resort and 100 Egg Mud Bath)

Vietnamese or Russian travel agencies: who to choose

Let's first figure out who offers tours in Nha Trang. All travel agencies here can be divided into two categories:

1. Vietnamese agencies. There is in almost every mini-hotel and on any tourist street in Nha Trang. They offer basic excursions around the city, sea tours at minimal prices.

2. Foreign (including Russian) agencies. The same set of basic excursions in Nha Trang, as well as entertaining excursions such as river rafting, fishing, trips to neighboring provinces and countries.

As a rule, prices for excursions from local Vietnamese agencies are lower than from Russian-speaking ones. They will explain this to you with the best service, feeding, the presence of a Russian-speaking guide and an extended program. Sometimes it's really true. But it happens that people who bought an excursion for $ 8 from the Vietnamese and for $ 25 from Russian agents are put on the same boat, taken to the same islands and fed the same way. Therefore, before buying an excursion ask the price, find out all the nuances of the "extended service". For example, on sea excursions, a Russian-speaking guide is not needed at all, so there is no point in overpaying for it. And you can even go on some excursions on your own - by bus or by renting a bike.

It is worth buying long-distance excursions from Russian agencies, which are not organized by the Vietnamese. These are trips to Dalat and Dak Lak. This is where a Russian-speaking guide will really come in handy.

What excursions you should not go to in Nha Trang:

First of all, from the many options, we note those that should not be considered at all.

Sightseeing tour of Nha Trang

The cost is from 20 to 50 dollars per person. Tour time - 3-5 hours.

Completely pointless waste of time and money. Typically, a tour costing from 20 to 50 dollars per person includes a trip to the White Buddha statue, Po Nagar Tower and Long Son Pagoda. You can get there by taxi for a couple of dollars or by bus, see everything calmly, without haste, spending as much time as you want. And also saving a lot of money. is in a separate post.

The Catholic Cathedral of Nha Trang, a visit to which is also included in the sightseeing tour, is located in the city center. It can be easily reached on foot from almost anywhere in the city.

The sightseeing tour sometimes includes visits to shops and manufactories, promising you the lowest prices in the area. But why pay so much money just to be taken shopping?

Excursion from Nha Trang to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon)

Cost from $50 + $20 bus tickets. Tour time 36-48 hours.

Very tiring bus tour, which is absolutely not worth the time and money spent. You will be offered to go to Ho Chi Minh City on a (slipper bass), then they will take you by bus all day long around the city and its environs, and in the evening you will again go to Nha Trang on a sleeper. Yes, Ho Chi Minh City is a beautiful city. Definitely worth visiting. But not with a one-day tour of the "gallop through Europe" format. Perhaps you will like Vietnam so much that you want to come back here and fly to next time. Then my guide around the city will come in handy for you, who will help you organize a tour on your own.

The same advice applies to far and Halong Bay. It’s better to go there on your own during your next vacation by arranging a tour for yourself.

Dalat for 1 day

The cost of the tour is from $29. Duration - 13-14 hours.

Dalat is an amazing town in the mountains, located about 4-5 hours drive from Nha Trang. Very beautiful, chamber and with a great variety of attractions. You should definitely go to Dalat, but not for one day, but for at least two!

Diving in Nha Trang

The cost is 60-100 dollars per person. Duration - 7-8 hours.

Diving in the Nha Trang area is generally not a serious occupation. Especially for certified divers. There are dozens of places in the world where diving is much more interesting than in the South China Sea off the coast of Nha Trang. Don't waste your money and time.

Which excursions in Nha Trang are better to buy at a travel agency:

Dalat for 2 days

The cost is $70 per person. Duration - 36 hours.

If you do not drive a bike and are not good at organizing excursions on your own, buy a two-day trip to Dalat in Nha Trang at a travel agency. In two days you will see several waterfalls, the famous Crazy House, the extraordinary beauty of the Buddhist temple Chuk Lam on the mountain, take a ride on the cable car and visit some more interesting places. How beautiful is Dalat at sunset!

We ourselves organized our trip to Dalat and went there on a regular regular bus. How it was and how much money we spent, read in separate posts.

Northern Islands (Nha Phu Bay)

Cost $19-24. The duration of the tour is 6-7 hours.

Islands of monkeys, deer and orchids north of Nha Trang. An interesting boat trip well worth the trip. During the tour, you can feed the monkeys, ride ostriches and elephants.

You can organize an excursion to the northern islands on your own if you drive a bike. This tour cost us $30 for three. A visit to the monkey island can be combined with a trip. Here's a post about how it went:

southern islands

The cost is $8. Duration 7-8 hours.

Sea excursion, which Vietnamese agencies costs 8 dollars. Includes a trip to the Aquarium on Tri Nguyen Island and a beach holiday on several islands south of Nha Trang. A simple, unpretentious excursion, for which you do not need to pay a lot of money.

But I would recommend buying a two-day ready-made tour from an agency. It costs almost the same as traveling on your own, only you will have a permanent guide and your own transport. Prices start at $70 per person. We spent $175 for a three-day trip to Daklak for three (Arina was 2.5 years old). In an organized tour, you will be taken to two more waterfalls, where we did not reach.

What excursions should be organized independently:

If you drive a scooter, you can not use the services of travel agencies at all, but visit all the interesting places on your own, as we did. Save a lot of money and not be dependent on a large group of people who will become your fellow travelers on excursions. Renting a bike in Nha Trang costs $5-6 per day. You will spend the same amount on gasoline if you are going somewhere far away from the city.

If you don’t drive a bike, then study. Most attractions are easily accessible by bus.

In this post, I will give only a short list of excursions in Nha Trang and their real cost - if you organize them yourself. Compare this to what the agencies offer you.

Long Son Pagoda and White Buddha

The entrance is free. Bus ride $0.6 round trip.

You can take buses No. 1, 2, 6 for $ 0.3 or by taxi for $ 2-3 one way.

A beautiful Buddhist temple, on the mountain there is a white statue of Buddha.

Cham Towers Po Nagar

The entrance ticket costs 1 dollar. Bus ride $0.6 round trip.

You can get there by bus number 6.

The famous ancient Cham towers, which are over a thousand years old. From the mountain where the towers are built, an amazing view of Nha Trang opens up.

Zoklet beach

Bus fare is $2.50 round trip.
An excursion to Zoklet at a travel agency costs from $20 per person.

White fine sand, azure sea ... Zoklet Beach is a heavenly place 50 km from Nha Trang. Of course, it is worth visiting there, but do not rush to pay $ 20 per person for an excursion. Bus number 3 goes to Zoklet beach from Nha Trang. On the map of bus routes, all stops in Nha Trang are marked. The fare costs a little more than one dollar one way, it takes about an hour and a half to go. In Vietnamese, the beach is called Doc Let.

Important information:
There are two routes #3. With a white number on the bus - urban, travels within Nha Trang. And the same number 3 with a yellow number on the windshield goes to Zoklet beach.

Island and entertainment complex Winperl

Admission is $30 per adult and $25 per child. Bus ticket - $0.6 round trip.

This place is simply a must to visit. A cable car with a length of more than three kilometers leads to the island. Winperl has a water park, an aquarium, an amusement park and many amazing rides. If you have little time in Nha Trang, then go to Winpearl first thing.

Tickets are cheaper to buy in advance on the official website of Winperl.
