The climate of Northern Russia became warm and humid, and to the south, on the contrary, it became hot and arid, even deserted. Sand dunes even covered Galicia and Belarus; geologists have long been well aware of the so-called “fossil dunes” of those places. Central Asia, Little Russia and the South of Russia in general began to turn into a desert. The zone of semi-deserts and dunes rose even to Pechora, Yenisei and Minusinsk.

Where did our ancestors – the formidable hunters and warriors of Prehistoric Russia – go? To the sleepy, scorched south, across the waterless steppes, or to the harsh North for departing animals and familiar nature? In my opinion, the answer is obvious - the majority moved to the Russian North. It is most likely that they went to the Kola Peninsula, the area of ​​the Kanina Peninsula and Pechora Bay - Novaya Zemlya, where the climate was comparable to the Kola. Less likely, although possible, to the Polar Urals and Taimyr. In 7-12 thousand BC. even in Taimyr there was a climatic optimum with an average July temperature of 15 degrees, which is 7 degrees higher than the current one, although the climate there was much harsher.

How comfortable did conditions become for people in the Russian North then? Let's analyze it. In 7-8 thousand BC. According to the most conservative geological estimates, the average July temperature in Kola was 18 C - the same as now in Moscow. “Just think,” the educated people will say, “only” 18! What could happen in this north? However, with the north in Eurasia, not everything is so simple, for example, Leningrad and Oslo are much north of Moscow, but the climate there is much warmer, and in Norway, strawberries are harvested in May - the Gulf Stream. The ancient Greeks, for example, did not know about the existence of the Gulf Stream and “how much northwestern Europe benefits from the warm, moist winds from the Atlantic Ocean... It was difficult to believe not only in Thule, but also in Britain, located much north of the latitudes of the southern Russia, which they imagined lying very close to the icy desert. We ourselves don’t always imagine that Bergen is much warmer in winter than Belgrade, and that Great Britain is located in the same latitudes as Labrador and Kamchatka.”

A change in average temperatures of just a few degrees is of enormous importance, but a difference of 10 degrees leads to simply dramatic changes in the situation. So in Kaliningrad the average July temperature is +17, and if it’s +28, it’s already Damascus. If we take 10 degrees in the other direction, then this is already the southern border of the tundra +8-10°C. Naturally, not only the average July, but also the average January and average annual temperature as a whole play a decisive role, but for now let’s not complicate the topic too much - the situation there is similar.

Biologists claim that in 9 thousand there were already oak forests in the northern part of Scandinavia. What does it mean? For comparison, oak no longer grows north of Vologda. During the period of interest to us, it grew throughout the entire Kola Peninsula, in the Pechora Bay area and even on Novaya Zemlya. The fact is that oak is a fairly heat-loving tree, not to mention elm and hornbeam, which also grew successfully in the areas of interest to us. Consequently, the climate then was much warmer than it is now. It’s just obvious even from common sense that if oak and hornbeam grew on the Kola and they didn’t freeze in winter, then there were no severe colds there.

Apparently, the Gulf Stream passed a little further to the northeast than now, which is confirmed by the fact that Novaya Zemlya had a middle zone climate. Life on the Kola Peninsula was very comfortable. Don't believe it? In vain. Look at the ancient habitat of heat-loving plants. This is where we must first look for the sites of our ancestors.

Consequently, in those years it was not only possible for a person to live in the Russian North, but quite comfortable, and for a northern Caucasian it was even almost optimal. A cool, warm summer, a humid steppe full of animals without extensive swamps, oak forests on the hills and low mountains. Almost like heaven. Polar night? Yes, it will interfere to a certain extent, but it will be tolerable as long as it is warm enough.

It is likely that those who went to the Kola found themselves cut off from the mainland by the flooded Littorina Sea. A number of serious sources believe that there was a period when the waters of the White and Littorina seas merged and Fennoscandia was practically a large island. At the moment, this point of view is not considered dominant in science, but the point is that going to Fennoscandia in those days was much easier than subsequently leaving there after the flooding of the seas. The narrow isthmus was then, at a minimum, very swampy, with many rivers. People also could not get to Jutland and Southern Scandinavia because of the now disappeared, but then wild and wide Svea River (also known as the Nerke Strait in earlier times).

Why we didn’t teach all this at school and for what reason our scientists do not pay attention to such obvious things is an interesting question. In general, I highly recommend Parshev’s famous book, which very clearly illustrates the popular ideas, or rather, the misconceptions that we have received since school, the price of our “scientific economists” and so on. You will not regret.

But a lot can be assumed, but is there any evidence that our ancestors lived for a long time in the Arctic Circle? Eat. Hindus, not without reason, believe that they come from Northern Russia. The prominent Indian scientist B. Tilak in his work “The Polar Homeland in the Vedas” proved by analyzing the ancient texts of Indians and Iranians - the Vedas and Avestas - that their common ancestors (Aryans) migrated in ancient times from the polar regions. Tilak’s book contains many inconsistencies and a number of gross errors, unforgivable for a major scientist even at the beginning of the 20th century (when this book was written) like “man in the tertiary period,” but a number of his arguments cannot be explained by anything other than the fact that the ancestors of the Aryans really lived beyond Arctic Circle. I would like to emphasize that this is the only intelligible interpretation and opponents failed to refute Tilak’s arguments.

Well, they will say, even if the ancestors of the Indians lived in Antarctica, what have we got to do with it? That is, what does it have to do with it? “It wasn’t that long ago that we were one.” Indian experts in the field of Sanskrit (and who else could be more authoritative?) consider the Russian language to be one of the forms of Sanskrit modified by time. True, there is a question about terminology - they call Sanskrit the proto-language from which ancient Slavic and classical Indian Sanskrit originated. In general, for us now this linguistic casuistry is indifferent, the main thing is that they and we were one. For example, the prominent Indian linguist-Sanskritologist D. Shastri unequivocally states that there can be no doubt about the deepest closeness to Sanskrit even of the modern Russian language. I think that the reader will not be at all surprised that the works of the Rig Vedic expert Tilak, Shastri, and many other scientists are practically “unknown” in the West, despite the fact that they are written in English. Well, Western “thought leaders” don’t want to rewrite history honestly.

By the way, at one time, when communicating with Hindus, I was amazed that even in modern Hindi, which has lost most of its Sanskrit roots, such key words as “mat” (mother), “brother” (brother), “agni” (fire) remain practically Russian , lights – plural), “door” (door), “des” (ten), etc. By the way, the word “Rusa” in Sanskrit has the same meaning as in Russian – “light”. Zharnikova, many toponyms with ancient Sanskrit roots have been preserved in the Russian North ("ind", "gang", "ram"), Guseva's works also show the common roots of Sanskrit and the Russian language.

So, with the Aryans who went to India and Iran, our ancestors separated at the end of the 3rd and beginning of the 2nd millennium BC, and before that time, according to linguists, we were one whole. Next is a problem for younger schoolchildren - if the ancestors of Russians, Iranians and Indians were one until 4 thousand BC (we are interested in this period), and the ancestors of Iranians and Indians at that time lived above the Arctic Circle, then did the ancestors of Russians live beyond Arctic Circle?

Let's imagine how people could live beyond the Arctic Circle, how they could get food for themselves, build homes, what to believe in, what kind of character to have? Conventionally, such a culture can be called “Hyperborean”, and its location, accordingly, “Hyperborea”. Our ancestors could not go far to the north - there is no land there, so the polar night could not last more than 2 months, even in Murmansk it lasts 42 days.

It is obvious that farming in this area is severely limited due to the lack of solar energy. Hunting and fishing - yes, everything is there without question, there is enough warmth. But coastal fishing only feeds small fishing villages, and on the Polar Night you can’t go far into the sea - try to find your way back, and you’ll catch a lot there in the Arctic darkness? Fishing for a fairly large polar people (group of tribes) will certainly be a good help, but not the main occupation.

Here we will imagine that the people live quite successfully and have grown in number. Coastal fishing and hunting close to housing will no longer feed him. Therefore, it is necessary to roam for game. But wandering with large supplies of food (to survive the Polar Night) is a difficult task; you have to carry “on the hump” not only all your household belongings, but also the home itself, a supply of food for at least a month (you can’t hunt much at night), children, old people, and so on Further. It would be ideal if the animals walked on their own, rather than being carried around as meat supplies. Quite quickly, many people will have the thought - why carry everything on yourself, maybe shift the burden onto the cattle? Why kill an animal if it can reproduce? Were there such “convenient” animals in the north at that time? Yes, there were northern breeds of cattle and northern breeds of horses. What’s interesting is that northern cows were then hornless (camole) and the Vedas describe precisely that in ancient times cows were hornless. The Indians themselves no longer encountered stray cattle.

It is interesting that approximately the same picture of production is observed in Arkaim: weak agriculture, strong cattle breeding, partly hunting and pronounced fishing. It’s already quite good, there are no logical violations. It makes no sense to look for large cities in the north - with this method of production it is too difficult to maintain large settlements, and what is the point of them? Science and technology centers? It seems that the northerners took an alternative route, which is discussed below.

Hunting in the polar night is clearly ineffective, and until people have learned to maintain large enough herds, it is impossible to give up hunting. The first thing that comes to mind is that you can make supplies, it doesn’t matter - in the form of live meat or already cooked meat. What will happen? People will be very afraid that there will not be enough supplies before sunrise - they can only measure time in days, and the usual ratio of days and nights in the Arctic has been disrupted. Neither the memory of old people nor direct experience will help here - people encountered this for the first time. Consequently, those who can predict the sunrise become extremely important people in the tribe. Such people, of course, form over time a very influential priestly class. How can they justify the trust of their fellow tribesmen, or even save them? Just learn to observe the surrounding nature, first of all - the sun itself, its periodicity and, naturally, its “antipode” - the full moon and especially noticeable stars.

The idea is clear, but how to implement it? The tribe wanders and each time the heavenly bodies are visible from a different point, each year the sun rises at different times and the polar night is of different lengths. If the forecaster misses the forecast, the tribe will run out of supplies before the sun comes and big problems will begin. One must think that the fate of such an unlucky astronomer would be unenviable. However, responsibility does wonders. What will such a responsible and inquisitive astro-shaman come up with?

He will begin to observe the Sun and Moon from one point every year, standardizing the experiment, that is, choosing a suitable location and using only that one. But obviously, even a few years are not enough - each year the sun does not rise exactly where it did the previous year due to the precession of the earth's axis. Therefore, the problem arises: how to save information? Just remember where the sun rose from 15 years ago? After all, the shaman still doesn’t know how to write.

Therefore, the researcher will create a system of memorable landmarks - he will place a large stone, dig a hole, bury a log, notice the top of a distant hill, draw, or even better, lay out lines on the ground with stones, marking the observation center. The result will be the first solar-lunar observatory. But it is better to save effort - and a savvy priest will prefer to choose a point where natural landmarks themselves will indicate the points of sunrise and sunset of the sun and moon. Most likely, such an observatory will be located in the foothills or hilly areas - the horizon is not completely blocked by mountains or trees, and there are quite enough landmarks (which can also be marked with sights when observing from the center) to select the ones you need.

Do you recognize what this is? - Arkaim. It is quite logical that the traditions of its construction came from the Arctic. In the middle zone, observing the luminaries with such accuracy and seriousness is not so important.

What will happen next? It is obvious that at first the priests will come to their primitive observatories for observations. It doesn’t take much time to look at the sunrise and sunset, the solstice, and mark what you need with stones or holes. But people wander around, and regularly running to the observatory becomes tiring. However, with the growing authority of primitive science, the priests will be able to convince their fellow tribesmen that for successful prediction it is simply necessary to constantly live in an observatory temple, which over time will become sacred. They will live and watch the stars in their observatories, and the people will roam over a fairly large territory and feed their priests. Logical? Yes, I think so.

Well, the astronomer priests made a calendar and finally predict everything as it should be. And what after this is to “disband the personnel”? Naturally, the priests have a different opinion on this matter, so they will add to their importance by performing various rituals to “help” the Sun rise. They will do what shamans and priests of all times and peoples do - sing and dance, and for a long time, so that their fellow tribesmen get a full impression of their serious work and do not even think that they no longer need to feed the priest. Our theocrats will sing and rumble with recitatives much more than they will dance: however, it is cold outside in the Arctic Circle in winter, you won’t be able to dance for a long time. In this way a very serious tradition dedicated to the hymns of the Sun will develop. What does it look like? To the Vedas. Is not it?

Great power of priests in a state is not uncommon; priests acquire great power during the period of its formation, when it becomes necessary for the authorities to keep the people in line with their beliefs - the general ideology. This is rational - fewer guards are required. But here there could be no classical urban civilization in the North, and the priests were very respected. Apparently there was a reason. The role of priests among these peoples was extremely high: the Indian Aryans, the Iranian Aryans, the Arkaim Aryans, as well as the Celts, although they did not have a classical state. I wonder what the situation is with copper in the Arctic Circle? Because you can fantasize a lot, but what about reality? The copper there is excellent - quite a lot and close to the surface. There is copper in the Kola region, and in Taimyr, and in the Urals. What is even more interesting is that the situation with tin and lead is also good there; it happens that there are even lead-copper ores - they do not need to be mined separately. Copper-tin ores, alas, are found mainly in other places - in England, the Alps, Central Europe, Siberia, Central Asia and very limitedly in the Middle East. This is actually a gift of fate - a blank for bronze, you don’t even need to add anything at first. Naturally, I greatly simplify the picture of non-ferrous metallurgy - this article is not about chemistry.

According to Tilak, the Vedas unequivocally say that during the period when the Aryans lived in the Arctic, they knew a chariot - it was ridden by Indra, who either lingered in the middle of the sky with his horses and the sun, then he was stuck somewhere and all his waiting in the polar night. But the point is not that it was clear to everyone what a chariot was. Interestingly, at the beginning of 3 thousand BC. The Arkaim Aryans came to the Southern Urals already knowing how to build fortresses and chariots and make bronze. There are no intermediate, student stages - immediate mastery. Scientists are all wondering: “Where could they have borrowed a war chariot, since theirs is the oldest in the world.” It seems to me that the answer is very simple - out of nowhere, most likely that they developed it themselves, long before they came to Arkaim.

Without a doubt, then our ancestors had no choice but to leave their homeland. And they left it for a very long time - the reconquest of the Russian North began only around the 10th century. Linguistic researchers who travel to those parts know that the echoes of the most ancient legends have been preserved not because the Russians lived there without interruption for thousands of years, but because it was a remote province of Russia, where the influence of the church, the central government and all sorts of wars and migration was weakened. That is, the legends have been preserved precisely for this reason, and are not at all proof that this is our ancestral home.

I have greatly simplified the picture. Apparently, our ancestors, the brothers of the Aryans who went to the north, never left Central Russia, for example the Vladimir region. They, the people of the “battle ax culture,” lived in an ancient way of life, were friends, helped, quarreled and made peace with the northerners, and apparently, after their departure from the Ural Arkaim, they accepted the prodigal brothers back. I think the point is not only in the traditional nobility of our people, but also in the fact that the Arkaim people, who pushed around the world, brought with them a lot of new knowledge and technologies. Do you think by chance that the date of the founding of the legendary Slovensk (approximately 2300 BC) practically coincides with the date of the departure of the Aryans from Arkaim and Sintashta?

Let me give you one more extremely interesting fact. A major expert on Taoism and the martial arts of the East, A. Medvedev, claims that the most ancient Taoist clans of China and Korea - the “Tree Branches” - have kept legends since time immemorial that their ancestors were white people from the North of Europe who left their homeland and left to the territory of Central Asia, where they split and some of them went to Egypt, and the other to India. There is a legend among dedicated Taoists that someday the “lost” branch of the Egyptian clan will unite with the “Chinese” one and this will bring great benefit to Humanity. In the future, a Perfect Society will be built on Earth based on the race of a perfect person - the “Tree Man”, uniting “the forces of all the elements.”

That is, Taoism, according to the above data, is not of Chinese, but of Northern European origin, a system of thinking inherited from some ancient people. It is very interesting that the basis of the most ancient Taoism is an extremely developed teaching about human happiness and the ability to achieve it in ordinary everyday life. So the legends that the Hyperboreans were extremely happy people have a basis.

It is obvious that the Russian North keeps some secret, most likely more than one. For example, the so-called “Northern Labyrinths”, “widely known in narrow circles,” and seids, the age of which is not clear. But it is obvious that they were created before 2 thousand BC, when the area of ​​the Kola Peninsula was inhabited by the Lapps (Sami) - they no longer knew who created the labyrinths and mysterious seids.

The Aryans themselves did not create labyrinths either in Iran, or in India, or along the route of their movement from Arkaim to Central Asia. I would like to emphasize a very important, in my opinion, point - neither those who created the labyrinths, nor those who built the seids were a technologically advanced civilization. It is interesting that the “Thule Society” was the name given to one of the most “closed” secret societies of Nazi Germany, which included only the most trusted Nazis, including Hitler himself. Members of the Thule Society and related organizations stood behind the most terrible organization of those years - the SS. Finally, I would like to dwell on the legend of the “warm island” in the north. Almost all northern, and even very southern peoples, for example, Indians and Iranians, have them.

Armchair scientists have mockingly rejected this very possibility over the past few tens of thousands of years. Indeed, solar heat in the Arctic is not enough, in winter it “freezes” and there are no islands with “geothermal recharge” in the region - this is not Kamchatka.

However, in the Russian North, unlike the American Arctic, there are two very interesting things - the Gulf Stream and warm air currents from the south, which can greatly change the situation if the icy Arctic air currents are somehow blocked. But on the continent the difference is not so strong, although the average annual temperature differing by “only” a few degrees already makes life much easier.

Are there any examples of “warm valleys” not on the continent, but in the sea? Eat! And in Russia. A unique Arctic reserve is Wrangel Island, one of the highest and most mountainous islands in the Arctic. 2/3 of it is occupied by mountains (more than 1000 m in height), which, like a shield, protect its southern part from the coldest Arctic air currents from the north and northeast, leaving it open to warm southern winds. As a result, the temperature difference on one island reaches almost 10 degrees. On the southern coast, the average July temperature is + 3 degrees - arctic tundra, on the northern coast - 1.5 degrees - almost a polar desert. An exceptionally warm microclimate develops in intermountain basins, which not only catch warm southern currents in the summer, but are also protected from Arctic air masses, and there the phenomenon of so-called “hot” foehn winds occurs, when, passing through mountain ranges, the air loses moisture and becomes very hot, “ falling" into hollows along steep slopes. As a result, average July temperatures reach 8-10°C in the valleys, which corresponds to the conditions of the southern border of the tundra zone! That is, significantly warmer than Taimyr, which is located much further south. The island's flora and fauna naturally respond to the temperatures. It is interesting that there the reserve staff discovered the remains of mammoths, the age of which was determined to be between 7 and 3.5 thousand (!) years. This is the “youngest” mammoth (a special species) that has ever been found - it disappeared only during the reign of Tutankhamun and the heyday of the Mycenaean civilization. Wrangel Island is one of the most important paleontological monuments on the planet. But nevertheless, no one could have imagined that a very heat-loving animal could exist in the Arctic, in the zone of Arctic deserts. The maritime climate did not allow winter temperatures to drop to extreme values, as on the continent, for example, in Oymyakon. Let us note that a person could easily live in such conditions, although in conditions not much better than those in which the Chukchi and Nenets live.

But this is not the main thing - if the temperature of the Arctic in 5-9 thousand BC was 7-12 degrees higher than today, then what kind of climate would have developed in such valleys? To those people they could well seem like paradise - not hot but warm summers, moderately cold winters, quite possibly even without snow in warm valleys, that is, with a climate comparable to Moldova. Naturally, it cannot be argued that 8-10 degrees should be simply added to the then 15-18 degrees; such things need to be seriously researched and modeled. But as we see, there is a reason for such work.

There were plenty of rocky high islands in those days - the Lomonosov Ridge was then still a chain of islands, and even without them there could be candidates. If, moreover, such an island were located within the range of the Gulf Stream, even at its very end, then with a combination of both factors, the conditions could be truly exceptionally comfortable. True, if this mysterious island was in the Gulf Stream zone, then it is now part of a mountain range at the bottom of the Arctic Ocean.

So I repeat - it is likely that the legends about the “warm island of the sages” have every basis.

Do not think that I somehow reproach honest historians and archaeologists who work in the North from time to time, especially in the conditions of present-day Russia. Yes, they “look where it is brighter.” It’s hard to blame them for this - looking for something at random in the northern swamps is much more difficult than looking for a needle in a huge haystack, not even talking about the short season, midges and all the other “charms” of northern nature. Somewhere, the settlements of our ancestors are waiting in the wings, covered with endless northern swamps, preserved in a peat layer. Located somewhere among the northern hills, forests and tundra are the remains of still primitive solar observatories...

It seems to me that we should first of all look for the settlements of our ancestors not where it is convenient now, but take an ancient hydrological map of the Russian North, for example, the Kola Peninsula and mark places convenient for settlement near the now disappeared rivers and lakes - as we saw above, The hydrological map of the Kola region has changed dramatically over the past few years. If there were also ancient pastures nearby and places convenient for solar observatories, then the probability increases even more. If we assume that a person worked with copper, then we need to look near deposits that reach the surface...

I would like to quote the words of a classic major scientist who devoted a lot of effort to the study of the Kola Peninsula, Nina Gurina: “We are far from thinking that at present the ancient history on the Kola Peninsula has been fully studied. Much has not yet been discovered, and not everything that has been discovered is fully understood. However, so that lovers of the “Aryan race” do not become arrogant and consider themselves the source of Humanity and world Civilization, I will say that there are cities dating back to the 8-9 millennium BC. Ancient written sources from Greece, India, Persia and other countries contain a description of the peoples who inhabited the territory of circumpolar Russia more than 2.5 thousand years ago. Among the ancient states there was also the mysterious country of the Hyperboreans, practically unknown and unexplored today.

The encyclopedia says that the Hyperboreans are a people living on the other side of the northern wind Boreas, which blows from the caves of the northern mountains. They are a fabulous people who lived in some paradise country, eternally young, not knowing illness, enjoying the uninterrupted “light of the heart.” They did not know wars or even quarrels, never fell under the vengeance of Nemesis and were dedicated to the god Apollo. Each of them could live up to 1000 years.
The question of who the Hyperboreans were has worried people at all times, but this question largely remains unresolved today. What do ancient sources say?

Literally, the ethnonym “Hyperboreans” means “those who live beyond the Boreas (North Wind)”, or simply “those who live in the North”. They were reported by many ancient authors.
Herodotus (IV century BC) reports that the Hyperboreans lived beyond the Riphean Mountains (Ural), beyond the Scythians, to the north of them.

The Greek geographer Theopontus (IV century BC) gives information about the Hyperboreans, about whom the demigod Silenus informs the Phrygian king Misad during their conversation: “Europe, Asia and Africa were islands surrounded on all sides by the ocean. Outside this world there is also an island with many inhabitants. The large army of this island (the Atlantean Empire) tried to invade our lands by crossing the ocean. They reached the land of the Hyperboreans, whom everyone considered the happiest people of this part of the land (the polar part of modern Russia). But when the conquerors saw how the Hyperboreans (who had taken refuge in caves) lived, they considered them so unhappy that they abandoned all their aggressive intentions and returned home, concluding a friendly treaty.

One of the most authoritative scientists of the Ancient World, Pliny the Elder, wrote about the Hyperboreans as a real ancient people who lived near the Arctic Circle and were genetically related to the Hellenes through the cult of Apollo the Hyperborean. This is what is said literally in “Natural History” (IV, 26): “Behind these [Rhipaean] mountains, on the other side of Aquilon, a happy people (if you can believe it), which are called Hyperboreans, reach very advanced years and are glorified by wonderful legends. They believe that there are loops of the world and the extreme limits of the circulation of the luminaries. The sun shines there for six months, and this is only one day when the sun does not hide (as the ignorant would think) from the spring equinox to the autumn one, the luminaries there rise only once a year at the summer solstice, and set only at the winter solstice. This country is entirely sunny, has a favorable climate and is devoid of any harmful wind. The homes for these residents are groves and forests; the cult of the Gods is carried out by individuals and the whole society; Discord and all sorts of diseases are unknown there. Death comes there only from satiety with life. There is no doubt about the existence of this people.

Even from this small excerpt from “Natural History” it is not difficult to get a clear idea of ​​​​Hyperborea. First, and this is the most important thing, it was located where the Sun may not set for several months. In other words, we can only talk about the circumpolar regions, those that in Russian folklore were called the Sunflower Kingdom. Another important circumstance: the climate in the North of Eurasia in those days was completely different. This is confirmed by the latest comprehensive studies conducted recently in the north of Scotland under an international program: they showed that 4 thousand years ago the climate at this latitude was comparable to the Mediterranean, and a large number of heat-loving animals lived here. However, even earlier, Russian oceanographers and paleontologists established that in the 30-15 millennium BC. The Arctic climate was quite mild, and the Arctic Ocean was warm, despite the presence of glaciers on the continent.

American and Canadian scientists came to approximately the same conclusions and chronological framework. In their opinion, during the Wisconsin glaciation, in the center of the Arctic Ocean there was a zone of temperate climate, favorable for flora and fauna that could not exist in the circumpolar and polar territories of North America.

The favorable climate off the coast of the Milk Sea (in the land of bliss) is explained by the fact that in those distant times the North Geographic Pole, along with its ice shell, was located off the coast of Canada and Alaska. At that time, the peaks of the Mendeleev, Lomonosov and Gakkel ridges rose like a triple barrier in the Northern Ocean on the path of cold and ice to the Novaya Zemlya Taimyr region. And the warm Gulf Stream reached and went around Novaya Zemlya and reached Taimyr. Because of this, the climate was much milder than today.

Along the Gakkel Ridge, along a series of islands, there was a route from Taimyr to northeastern Greenland. One of the confirmations of the indisputable fact of a favorable climatic situation is the annual migration of migratory birds to the North - a genetically programmed memory of the warm Ancestral Home. Indirect evidence in favor of the existence of an ancient highly developed civilization in the northern latitudes can be provided by powerful stone structures and other megalithic monuments located everywhere here (the famous cromlech of Stonehenge in England, the alley of menhirs in French Brittany, the stone labyrinths of Solovki and the Kola Peninsula).

On the other hand, ancient authors and, in particular, Strabo in his famous “Geography” write about the marginal northern territory, the polar tip of the Earth, called Thule (Tula). Thule occupies exactly the place where, according to calculations, Hyperborea or Arctida should be (more precisely, Thule is one of the extremities of Arctida).

According to Strabo, these lands are located six days' sail to the north from Britain, and the sea there is gelatinous, resembling the body of one of the varieties of jellyfish - "sea lung". If there are no reliable texts, and material monuments are either not recognized or hidden under Arctic ice, the reconstruction of language can help: as a keeper of the thoughts and knowledge of disappeared generations, it is no less reliable a monument in comparison with stone megaliths - dolmens, menhirs and cromlechs. You just need to learn to read the hidden meaning in them.

Despite the meager information of historians, the ancient world had extensive ideas and important details about the life and morals of the Hyperboreans. And all because the roots of long-standing and close ties with them go back to the ancient community of Proto-Indo-European civilization, naturally connected with the Arctic Circle and the “end of the earth”, the northern coastline of Eurasia and ancient continental and island culture.

It was here, as Aeschylus writes: at the edge of the earth, in the deserted desert of the wild Scythians by order of Zeus, the rebellious Prometheus was chained to a rock: contrary to the prohibition of the Gods, he gave people fire, discovered the secret of the movement of stars and luminaries, taught the art of addition letters, agriculture and sailing. But the region where Prometheus languished, tormented by the dragon-like kite, until Hercules freed him (who received the epithet Hyperborean for this) was not always so deserted and homeless. Everything looked different when, a little earlier, the famous ancient hero Perseus came here, to the edge of the Ecumene, to the Hyperboreans to fight the Gorgon Medusa and receive here magical winged sandals, for which he was also nicknamed the Hyperborean.

In the folklore of a number of peoples, there is a description of wonderful clear-voiced maidens who could fly like swans. The Greeks identified them with the wise Gorgons. Perseus, precisely in Hyperborea, accomplished his “feat” by cutting off the head of Medusa the Gorgon.

The Greek Aristeas (7th century BC) also visited Hyperborea and wrote the poem “Arimaspeia”. By origin he was considered a Hyperborean. In the poem he described this country in detail. Aristeas had clairvoyance and could himself, while lying in bed, fly in the astral body. At the same time, he (through the astral body) surveyed large territories from above, flying over countries, seas, rivers, forests, reaching the borders of the country of the Hyperboreans. Similar abilities, as Greek sources report, were also possessed by individual priests of Abaris, who arrived from Hyperborea to Greece. Abaris, on a one and a half meter metal “arrow of Apollo of the Hyperborean”, given to him, with a special device in its plumage, crossed rivers, seas and impassable places, traveling as if by air (see Fig. 2). During the journey, he performed purifications, drove out pestilence and pestilence, made reliable predictions about earthquakes, calmed stormy winds and pacified river and sea disturbances.

Apparently, it is not without reason that many ancient authors, including major ancient historians, persistently talk about the flying abilities of the Hyperboreans, that is, about their mastery of flight techniques. The Hellenic Sun God Apollo, born in Hyperborea and receiving one of his main epithets from his place of birth, constantly visited his distant homeland and the ancestral home of almost all Mediterranean peoples.

Several images of Apollo flying towards the Hyperboreans have survived. At the same time, the artists persistently reproduced a winged platform, completely atypical for ancient pictorial symbolism, which, presumably, goes back to some real prototype.

Apollo (like his sister Artemis) the children of Zeus from his first wife, the Titanide Leto, are clearly associated with Hyperborea.

According to the testimony of ancient authors and the conviction of the ancient Greeks and Romans, Apollo not only periodically returned to Hyperborea in a chariot drawn by swans, but the northern Hyperboreans themselves constantly came to Hellas with gifts in honor of Apollo. There is also a subject connection between Apollo and Hyperborea. Apollo is the God of the Sun, and Hyperborea is that northern country where the Sun does not set for several months in the summer. Geographically, such a country can only be located beyond the Arctic Circle. The cosmic-stellar essence of Apollo is due to its origin.

Apollo's sister Goddess Artemis is also inextricably linked with Hyperborea. Apollodorus paints her as the intercessor of the Hyperboreans. The Hyperborean affiliation of Artemis is also mentioned in the most ancient ode of Pindar, dedicated to Hercules of Hyperborean.

According to Pindar, Hercules reached Hyperborea to accomplish another feat - to get the golden-horned Cyrene Hind:

The Titanide's mother Leto gave birth to her sun-bearing son on the island of Asteria, which means "star". Leto's sister was also called Asteria (Star). There is a version. that the cult of Apollo was reintroduced to the Mediterranean already in Roman times. The cult of the pan-Indo-European Sun God was brought here by the proto-Slavic tribes of the Wends, who founded and gave names to the modern cities of Venice and Vienna.

The classic Sun God of the Ancient World, Apollo, also came from the Far North, who regularly returned to his historical homeland and bore the nickname Hyperborean (other Gods and heroes had similar epithets). It was the Hyperborean priests, the servants of Apollo, who founded the first temple in honor of the Sun God in Delphi, maintaining constant contacts with the northern metropolis.

It is known that, having matured, Apollo flew every summer in the chariot of Zeus to Hyperborea, to the banks of the shady Istra (the modern Ob River, but with the source of the Irtysh) to the homeland of his ancestors - the god of the Hyperboreans, the titan Coy and his wife Phoebe, who were the parents of his mother Leto. The Scythian king Prometheus flew on the same chariot to his Northern Urals (the area of ​​​​the source of the Lobva and Bolshaya Kosva rivers).

Apollo was considered a prophet, oracle, healer, god, founder and builder of cities. Having built, with the help of the Hyperborean priests, cities and temples in Delphi, Asia Minor, Italy, Claros, Didyma, Colophon, Cumae, Gaul, and the Peloponnese, in his life he was closely connected with Hyperborea. There he himself, his son Asclepius and other children received knowledge from the sage Chiron and the Hyperborean priests.

The Greeks reported that high morality, art, religious-esoteric beliefs and various crafts necessary to meet the needs of the country flourished in Hyperborea. Agriculture, livestock breeding, weaving, construction, mining, leather, and woodworking industries were developed. The Hyperboreans had land, river and sea transport, lively trade with neighboring peoples, as well as with India, Persia, China, and Europe.

It is known that the Hellenes moved to Greece from across the Caspian Sea about 4 thousand years ago. Previously, they lived near the Khatanga and Olenok rivers, next to the Hyperboreans, Arimaspians, and Scythians. This is why these peoples have so much in common in historical accounts.

Of the children of Apollo, the most famous is Asclepius, who became famous in the field of medicine. He wrote and left behind general knowledge on medicine in multi-volume books, mentioned in various sources, but which have not survived to this day. It is possible that similar knowledge in the field of healing existed on all ancient continents, and was later lost. But these days they have begun a second march across the continents from the countries of the East.

Hyperborea was visited by Greek merchants, scientists, and travelers, who left information about this polar country, where there are snows, polar days and nights, and the population escapes from the cold in underground dwellings, in which there were temples and other structures.

The ancient Greek writer Elion described an amazing cult rite of the Hyperborean country, where Apollo has priests - the sons of Boreas and Chiron, six cubits tall. Whenever the established sacred rites are performed at the prescribed time, flocks of swans fly from the Ripaean mountains. Majestic birds fly around the temple, as if cleaning it with their flight. After this, when a harmonious choir of priests, accompanied by cithar players, begins to praise God, the swans echo the experienced singers, repeating the sacred singing smoothly and accurately.

The discrediting of the gorgons followed the same pattern and, apparently, for the same reasons as the attribution of opposite signs and negative meanings during the collapse of the common Indo-Iranian pantheon into separate religious systems (this happened after the migration of the Aryans from the North to the South), when the and ahuras (light divine beings) become devas and asuras evil demons and bloodthirsty werewolves. This is a worldwide tradition, inherent in all times, peoples, and religions without exception.

During the reign of the god Cronus, who ruled during the Golden Age, large national sports games began to be held in Hyperborea, long before the advent of the Greek Olympic Games. These games were held in several places: at the sources of the Pur and Tolka rivers, east of the mouth of the Yenisei (the remains of large stone structures were preserved there) and others.

It was the Hyperboreans who recommended that the Greeks reward the winners of the Olympic Games with an olive branch instead of an apple branch and gave them the sacred olive tree.
The king of the Scythians during the lives of Koy and Zeus was Prometheus. The country of the Scythians was located in the Northern Urals. The Hyperboreans possessed the technology for developing underground deposits of useful metals. They could build tunnels under rivers, lakes and even the bottom of the sea. By the way, in the ancient Egyptian language the pyramid was called mr, which is completely consonant with the name of the sacred Mount Meru (taking into account that there are no vowels in Egyptian hieroglyphics). Meru once had the abodes of Hindu gods: Brahma, Vishnu. The paradise of the great god Indra with his majestic palaces and fabulous city was located on its main peak Mandara and inside it. Gods, asuras, kinnaras, gandharvas, snakes, various divine beings, celestial nymphs, excellent healers Ashvins lived here.

The great hero and sage, the eldest of the Kauravas, Bhishma talks about a land of bliss where there are vast pastures with many animals. There is abundant vegetation that produces abundant fruits, countless flocks of birds, as well as sacred swans that fly to the temples and take part in ritual holidays and choral singing.

The legends say that in the north of the Sea of ​​Milk there is a large island called Shvetadvipa (Bright, White Island). It is located 32 thousand yojanas north of Meru. There live “fragrant white men, removed from all evil, indifferent to honor and dishonor, marvelous in appearance, filled with all evil, their bones strong as diamonds.”

They lovingly serve God, who spreads out the Universe. His father, the god Kron, was exiled to this White Island by Zeus, where his tomb is still located. The land of bliss was located from the Urals to Taimyr. It was neither cold nor hot in these lands. People lived here for up to 1000 years, marked with all good signs, shining like a moon, they penetrated into the Knowledge of the thousand-rayed eternal God.

Ancient authors (Aristaeus, Herodotus, Pliny, etc.) call this people Hyperboreans. Its inhabitants did not know wars and strife, need and sorrow. They ate the fruits of plants, knew mineral food, but could maintain vitality without taking food at all.

The Mahabharata tells of the tragic battle of the related families of the rulers of the Pandavas and Kauravas on the field of Kurikshetra (XVIII-XV centuries BC). In this battle the following were used: flying objects (chariots, etc.), laser, plasmoid, atomic weapons, robots. The manufacturing technology and other characteristics of this technology are unknown to modern civilization. Many peoples of Asia were drawn into this battle, including modern Central Asia and Western Siberia, all the way to the Arctic Ocean and even Africa.

The best of the Pandavas, the commander Arjuna (Yarjuna), sent his troops to the north. Having crossed the Himalayas, he conquered one after another the northern kingdoms with all their fabulous and fantastic tribes. But when he approached the country of the happy northern people, “guards with huge bodies” came out to him, endowed with great valor and strength. The results of recent research have made it possible to establish that more than 12 thousand years ago the Hyperboreans lived on Novaya Zemlya and the adjacent islands. Novaya Zemlya was then a peninsula.

After the death of Atlantis, climate change began and the Hyberborea began to gradually move eastward (Pechora, Yamal, Ob, Taimyr rivers). Later, due to a stronger climate change, about 3500 years ago and the onset of cooling, the Hyperboreans in separate groups began to leave in different ways to warmer regions of the Earth.

Other peoples (for the same reason) also left their inhabited lands and cities, the graves of their ancestors. Nobody talked about the integrity of state borders. The integrity of the country was seen, first of all, in the unity and integrity of the people, and not the territory.

One of the large groups of Hyperboreans headed south through Altai, northwestern China, and India. At the beginning of the new era they reached the Ganges River. Although Tradition speaks of “Islands,” it was a continent, not an archipelago, that was located at the Pole. It was a single massif, limiting the shape of the land as if it were a cross enclosed in a circle. (And to this day the Northern Tradition, which has existed on Earth since the Arcts, is also called the Teaching of the Closed Cross.)

This is exactly how Arctida was depicted in the maps of Gerhard Mercator.
Today's geographers are amazed at the accuracy of Mercator maps, because it is simply incredible for that time. More precisely, such accuracy was not possible at all in those days.

“Where could relics of ancient eras, the knowledge of which had been lost by his time, fall into the hands of Gerhard Mercator? The 16th century found the still-secret temples of the Most Ancient Faith, hidden in the wilderness along the coasts and islands of the northern seas . Did fate bring Mercator or his friends together with one of the legendary white priests (white elders) - keepers of ancient secrets? Nothing is known about this. However, Mercator’s “Cosmography” provides a detailed description of the sanctuary on the island of Rügen. (Rusin rightly reconstructs Zabelin. He translated this fragment from Mercator and included it in his famous “History of Russian life since ancient times” - Zabelin I.E., Moscow, 1876.) From which it is obvious, at least, the cartographer’s research interest in secrets of the North of ancient Rus.
The shape of the sunken polar continent is extraordinary. No one else has this. The almost geometric regularity of the outlines resembles... an artificial structure.
This is exactly what the Hyperborean myth claims. The creators of the unusual shape of Arctida were not the quirks of the elements, but its inhabitants themselves. And further Tradition speaks of even more incredible things. The inhabitants of Arctida were... not Earth-born creatures. People, their contemporaries, called them alvas. But in the memory of mankind they remained as the race of Hyperboreans.

But they were not “aliens” in the modern sense of the word. They did not come to Earth on spaceships from distant stars. They did not know this need at all - to overcome Space.

Because, as Tradition testifies to them, they were wanderers along the World Tree. The cosmogonic teaching of the Ancients about the Alva point is currently forgotten by humanity and is not known except within the Tradition. However, some traces of it can be found in the writings of the sages of antiquity and the Middle Ages.
Thus, Philolaus of Croton (a student of Pythagoras, who was called the Hyperborean) spoke about the World Fire or the Hearth of the Universe. By this Philolaus meant a certain center of circulation (or simply the Center?) of the Sun, the Earth, as well as the Anti-Earth of other worlds. Thus, Philolaus’s treatise “On Nature,” which lost a lot in rewriting, preserves, perhaps, the oldest surviving trace of the Hyperborean doctrine of the World Tree.
No less interesting in this sense is the passage in Jacob Boehme’s Aurora, which speaks of the “root” of the Sun, which represents at the same time the “root and mother” of all stars. A dark echo of Hyperborean wisdom remains the teaching of the East about the earth's sun as just a mirror carried around the Earth, and this mirror reflects the light of the true Sun of the Universe, around which the Earth and, in general, all the planets of the Cosmos revolve.
The third law says: the measure of contact is Love.
Observing our own soul, we notice: it cannot come into contact with anything (truly understand anything) if it does not love it. Prejudice leads to poor understanding. And on the contrary - how great is the soul’s ability to experience “in advance” sympathy for the subject of knowledge, so complete and voluminous will this knowledge and contact be.
The Northern Tradition teaches: just as the soul cognizes a specific object, the Wanderer race cognizes a specific world on the Tree of the Worlds. In principle, all the worlds of the Tree are available to those who master the art of traveling through worlds. But the degree to which each particular world is accessible is determined by the degree of capacity for love of the Wanderer race.
This very concept of the Ancients - the degree of accessibility of the world - in our time of a flat idea of ​​the world causes bewilderment. Let me explain. According to the teachings of ST, a planet, if you look at it “from the fourth dimension,” is not one, but an unlimited number of concentric (as if nested within one another) spheres. And the inhabitants of each sphere believe that it is the only true surface, and below there is only the subsoil, and above there is only air. (That is, this is the “scientific” point of view. The “religious” point of view - and it coincides with almost all peoples - believes that below the “this world” there are “hell circles”, and above are the “heavenly spheres”.) Earth , as we know it, in three-dimensional space there is a body like a ball. In “four-dimensional” it is only one of many sections of the Hypersphere, representing a given World on the Tree of Worlds. A trace of this teaching of the Ancients was preserved in the shamanic practices of the northern peoples. Using magical techniques, shamans travel to the “lower world” or to the “upper world”. (Note that the symbols of the World Tree are always depicted on the vestments or drums of shamans.)

The smaller the radius of the sphere, the narrower the horizon and the poorer the sky. The inhabitants of the lower spheres are not visible to some planets and constellations known to us. On the contrary, those who inhabit the highest spaces (“celestials”, from our point of view) are open to contemplation of luminaries about which we know nothing.

The residence of the Alves on planet Earth became the Pole, then still “newborn” and free from ice masses. The powerful race of Travelers has shown itself to be aloof, but not arrogant. Following the custom of the then (post-Lemurian) Earth, the Alvas chose for themselves a “totem” - a patron animal (more precisely: a living patron sign). This is what the Lynx became - an inhabitant of tree crowns. The Wanderers - the inhabitants of the World Tree - could hardly have chosen the best totem and name for themselves on planet Earth. Their students and descendants were called trotters.
The capital city of Arctida (if the word city is applicable here) was located directly near the Pole point. Namely, it was located along the shores of the inland sea and represented a triple ring of twelve temples, twenty-four castles and thirty-six fortresses. All these structures were connected to each other by underground communications and were so well integrated into the features of the relief that the rocky plateaus surrounding the Polar Sea at first glance seemed completely deserted.
It was no coincidence that the Hyperboreans chose Pole as their capital. They wanted to organize a Construction unprecedented on Earth, with the goal of ridding the world of recurring Catastrophes. The architecture of the Ancients had nothing in common with the projects of the “great construction projects” now known to us from recent history. And not only because the scale of the accomplishments of the Ancients exceeded everything known in modern eras. The material, man-made side of the Construction was expressed only in the fact that temples were erected in accordance with the most precise canons of proportionality of all proportions. And, above all, the Main Temple, later depicted in many legends of mankind as “the golden mountain Meru crowning a diamond pillar.” In fact, this Temple hung in the void above the point of the planetary pole, or at least that’s what it looked like “from here,” since the Temple was, among other things, a kind of “Gateway” of communication between the spheres of “parallel worlds.” This and other majestic structures were created in order to, having the blessing of the Creator himself, talk in prayerful silence with the souls of the elements, with the Twelve Basic Energies of Creation.
The Temple of the Tree of Worlds, hanging above the point of the Pole, was shaped like a regular three-dimensional eight-pointed cross, i.e. all eight of its wings were at right angles to each other and were of equal length. This was possible because the Building was a four-dimensional structure. The earth's axis passed through the point where all the wings met. And to this day the consonance of axis eight has been preserved (the ancient osm, the Slavic style of this number is the letter “and”, written as I [a pictogram of the vertical axis] under the title).
By the erection of the Temple and temples, an alliance was concluded, the like of which had been concluded in the Cosmos more than once before. The elements of the planet are needed by its inhabitants as protecting them from the cold and emptiness of the Abyss. But the planetary elements, their living souls, also need some kind of “inner eyes”, thanks to which feedback is made possible, a balance is established between the Forces.

Mature planets have on their face a Mind that has realized itself as such, that is, inventing not how to destroy the world that gave it shelter, but, on the contrary, how to naturally harmonize the elements that compose it. Intelligent humanity in this sense turns out to be something like the nervous system of the body of its Earth. The forces of the elements obey the signals emanating from these “nerves”, like muscles.
Relics of this planetary “union” have survived to this day. Some sorcerers and shamans can cause rain, hurricane, hail, and lightning. Such reports will always breed skepticism. After all, those initiated into ancient techniques are not inclined to demonstrate them publicly. However, the statistics are irrefutable: the more sorcerers of the “corresponding profile” in a state, the more people there are who find themselves victims of lightning. Moreover, this does not depend on thunderstorm activity in general.
The Ancients were endowed with abilities that were now preserved only as traces in full. Obedient to the will of the Alves, the earth's firmament was gradually rarefied at the point of the pole. The waters of the internal sea of ​​Arctida gained access to the labyrinth of deep caves of the lithosphere, which is, in fact, a crystal - naturally alternating compactions and voids.
The loss of water in this sea was immediately replenished by the ocean surrounding Arctida. Four powerful water streams ran crosswise from the coast of Arctida to the gaping abyss at the Pole. This is how this continent acquired a unique shape, captured by Mercator’s maps.

In the era of the Alvs it was different. They possessed the secret of delivering the soul from the yoke of unaccountable impulses and as a result, almost everyone was able to hear the voices of the souls of the elements and the “music of the spheres”, which Pythagoras, initiated into the Northern Tradition, spoke about millennia later.

The castes and classes within them represented groups that were incompatible, and yet connected into a system. The unity of isolation and unity of the state resembled the planetary system of a star: celestial bodies and satellites are distant from each other, which provides each with a stable orbit, but they all revolve in concert around a single center.
However, Hyperborea was very different from the caste states known in the further history of the Earth. That is, in the social “space” of the Alvs there also existed their own “fourth dimension”. The role of such was played by a completely unimaginable institution for us. Named, the institution of presenting (transferring) the Name.
As a rule, each of the elves had two, three, or even more Names. The name was given by the priest and this determined the caste affiliation. Under certain conditions it was possible to transfer
leaveName. The consequence of the existence of this special institution of Names was that there were always several times more individuals in the state of the Alvs than its physical inhabitants. Because giving a name always equaled the birth of a new personality. Those who received a new name gained the opportunity to live, as it were, in another, “parallel” world.
The Eastern Tradition that has reached our time teaches about the improvement of the soul in the process of successive rebirths, successive living of different lives. The Northern Tradition made it possible for the soul to live in parallel different lives in all their possible completeness and integrity - the discipline of the spirit was once so high.
The Hyperborean state thus represented perfection. A careful consideration of the above makes it clear that he was in no danger of slipping into either tyranny or ochlocracy.
But maintaining such a complex infrastructure required high discipline of spirit and perfection of the mental organization of citizens.
This was served by the unique Religion of the polar continent - a holistic Teaching, various fragments of which gave rise to mystical systems that are widely known to this day. The Closed Cross system included four main points.
1. One
The very fundamental principle of the Hyperborean Teaching was the idea of ​​the One. This idea exists to this day, but, in most cases, it has significantly degenerated. In order to see with your own eyes the living life of the thought of the Ancients, and not accidentally cut it off under the now existing superficial schemata, subsuming it under familiar categories, concentrated attention is required.
Formula Odin (= God is One) was not a religious dogma. It crowned the System of a holistic and perfect vision of EVERYTHING, overcoming the antagonisms of “one” - “many”, “past” - “future”, “internal” - “external”.
The Northern doctrine of the One had nothing in common with the later post-Atlantean version of the “single” god, who punishes jealously and angrily for the worship of other gods (i.e., silently recognizing their existence as equal to his own and fearing competition) - this rather not a god, but a demon, differing from his own kind only by delusions of grandeur.
However, the chosen luminaries of the spirit, inspired from Above, called and still call to this day for the primordial living mental knowledge of the One, rejecting later profanations. Saint Maximus the Confessor writes about the distinction between true and false monotheism in “The Ascetic Word”, 32: “Do we not pretend to call God Father? Have we not become sons of Gehenna instead of the sons of God? Have we not become worse than the Jews, who now bear the great name of Christ? And no one should be indignant when hearing such truth. And the Jews, being wicked, said: one Father, imams, God; But we heard from the Savior: You are of your father the devil, and you will do the lusts of your father (John 8:41-44).”
2. Triglav
The essential understanding of the All-Unity is distinguished from the simple use of the word “one” in dogmatics by the knowledge of Three-Unity. The ancients taught about the existence of an indivisible Spirit called Odili Rus. (Odryusov, i.e. the people who professed this ancient Religion, are remembered in many ancient chronicles of the Mediterranean. These were the descendants of those who came from the North in ancient times. The toponyms are extremely stable: near Valaam, the settlement of Odryusovo has survived to this day, repeatedly mentioned in the chronicles of Valaam monastery.) This indivisible Spirit alone lives many lives, in each of which he remembers only a part of Himself. This alone represents the example of Triglav: the One, superior to the many.

The Northern concept of reincarnation differs from the well-known Eastern one in the following ways. According to ST, the Spirit, having lived the life of a particular person, can, for example, having lived several more lives, then “go back in time” and live the life of the material of this person. Or, in other words, according to the esotericism of the Closed Cross, everyone we see is nothing more than our own “past” or “future” incarnations. Other phases of the same one and internal appear “from within” as much and external. This gives another example of Triglav: The One, superior to the external internal...
The ancient concept of Triglav is recognizable in our time in the Hindu Trimurti (lit. Three Faces) and - even more so and above all - in the Christian Trinity. In this latter case, more is preserved, i.e. the idea of ​​universality and primacy of the Trinity as the original Mystery. Whereas Trimurti is only one specific case of Triglav, namely the trinity of Creation (Krishna) - Preservation (Vishnu) - Destruction (Shiva). Or, more precisely: Becoming, beyond being and non-being.
The Orthodox version of Triglav, it must be said, is truly orthodox (orthodox - lit. orthodox) compared to the Catholic one. According to Orthodox dogma, the Spirit comes only from the Father, i.e. The Father (the One) seems to stand above His Son and His Spirit (the principle of the unity of command of the Father, which is spoken of, for example, by the modern Orthodox theologian V.N. Lossky). According to the Catholic philoquy, the Spirit is supposedly emanating equally from the Father and the Son, and in this pseudo-ordering of the Trinity the primordial Triglav becomes invisible.
3. Twelve
According to ST, there are 12 main types of relationship between “internal” and “external” or 12 main types of lives that are lived by a single Spirit. These 12 types are repeated in a certain sequence - each previous one naturally sets the next one - and after some time the whole cycle is repeated. Thus, Being is found constantly patronized and “permeated” by Twelve mutually regenerating gods, or energies, or modes of the One.
The knowledge of the Twelve small gods, co-creators of the Triune God Almighty, in principle, has not been lost by humanity. The Vedic pantheons of most peoples, disappeared and existing, contain precisely twelve main deities. Most known calendars divide the year into twelve months. In ancient times, it was common to divide the day into 12 rather than 24 hours, and this system has been adopted to this day for the routine of Orthodox services. It may be objected that all this is only a consequence of the ancient counting system - by dozens. But where should we look for the root of this ancient counting system itself?
The number of disciples of Jesus Christ is, of course, not accidental. “Have I not chosen you as Twelve?” (John 6:70.) St. Maximus the Confessor (VIIc) in “The Ascetic Word”, 16, wrote: “Pray, Father, that I may fully know the purpose of the Lord and His Apostles, and thanks to this, be sober during temptations, exposing the plans of the devil are his demons.” That is: The Twelve Disciples were viewed by the early Christians as not just twelve people who were the first to come to Christ. In contrast to St. Maxim rather sees the Twelve Powers - the host of God opposing the clique of Satan. And these great Disciples themselves kept their Number - the Sacred Dozen. When Judas the Traitor hanged himself, the remaining eleven gathered the faithful “about a hundred and twenty people” and chose one of them to complete the Number - “to accept the lot of this ministry and the Apostleship.” (Acts 1:16-25) In principle, all this is known to every Christian. However, only a few now understand the depths of ancient Vedic wisdom behind this.
4. Double (Tuisto)
Any faith contains some kind of aspiration. Otherwise it will not be faith, but only abstract philosophy. Wisdom, but not Wisdom...
The ancients called their aspiration Tuisto (that is, Double). They believed that one day, among the endless incarnations of the Spirit, one Perfect Incarnation would occur.
This belief had a rational basis. Experience is accumulated through countless repetitions of the cycle of the Twelve. Although the details of incarnations are not remembered, this experience itself is deposited in deep memory. And as a result of this accumulation, sooner or later the Incarnation must necessarily occur, in which the Unified Structure of Everything will be realized absolutely clearly, as directly experienced.
Such an Incarnation will clearly perceive Itself as ONE with That which in other incarnations was only vaguely guessed or will be guessed as God. “My Father is greater than Me, but I and the Father are One.” (John 10:30.) And he will also clearly feel all incarnations of the past, present or future inspired by the same Spirit. And he commands: love your neighbor as yourself (Mark 12:31)... because he (your neighbor) is it (you yourself).
The above allows us to understand the meaning of the name Tuisto-Double. By reference to a specific moment in historical time, this is a person, but by the perfection of awareness of all-unity, it is God. Two natures, mortal and Eternal, are combined in Him inseparably and unmerged.
The northern culture of worship of Tuisto has left numerous evidence. Usually historians do not trust them, considering them as artifacts of later Christianization. Thank God, not everyone adheres to such an arbitrary position. G. Wirth also wrote about the primordial “Christianity” of the northern peoples - about the worship of Christ, the Son of the Heavenly Father - precisely as a faith inherited directly from the great Ancients, that is, from the Hyperboreans. Our contemporary researcher Tulaev characterizes the worship of Tuisto as ancient northern “Christianity”. This is absolutely true, and this definition does not even need to be enclosed in quotation marks. The Hyperboreans predicted the coming of the One who came to this world two thousand years ago. And they were waiting for this first Coming just as true Christians are currently waiting for His second Coming.
The ancients predicted a lot about the earthly life of Jesus Christ, and in particular, His very name. The ancestors of the Celts, Rus, Hindus and Iranians inherited this knowledge from the Hyperboreans. When in the first centuries after R.H. the Romans “converted to Christianity” the Celts, the Druids of these latter said to foreign preachers: we knew that Esus would come and conquer the Tree. And it was the Celts who taught the Romans - and not the Romans to the Celts - to worship the Cross! Russian Old Believers to this day insist on this predicted outline of the name of the Son of God - Jesus. The ancient Iranian holy book Avesta contains a clear prediction about the incarnation of the Son of God. Written three thousand years before the coming of Jesus Christ, the Hindu Bhavishya Purana indicates this Name, the place of His birth, the name of His Mother and predicts His suffering. Even the Jewish Torah, a later adaptation of some Egyptian, Sumerian and Assyrian myths, contains vague hints of the prediction of the birth of the Son of God. Thus, the Kola Peninsula, which was not yet studied at that time, was described in every detail. And - the most amazing thing - on the map of 1595 the strait between Eurasia and America is clearly marked. Meanwhile, Semyon Dezhnev, a Russian Cossack, discovered it only in 1648! It is believed that Mercator copied his maps from some very ancient images, which he kept secret from his competitors. And while dying he handed over these priceless originals to his son, Rudolf Mercator. And he, continuing the work, also published cards, and steadily signed them with his father’s name. Where could relics of ancient eras, the knowledge of which had been lost by his time, fall into the hands of Gerhard Mercator? The 16th century found the still hidden temples of the Most Ancient Faith, hidden in the wilderness along the coasts and islands of the northern seas. Did fate bring Mercator or his friends together with one of the legendary white priests (white elders) - keepers of ancient secrets? Nothing is known about this. However, Mercator’s “Cosmography” provides a detailed description of the sanctuary on the island of Rügen. (Rusin - Zabelin rightly reconstructs. He translated this fragment from Mercator and included it in his famous “History of Russian life since ancient times” - Zabelin I.E., Moscow, 1876.) From which it is obvious, at least, the cartographer’s research interest in secrets of the North of ancient Rus. The shape of the sunken polar continent is extraordinary. No one else has this. The almost geometric regularity of the outlines resembles... an artificial structure. This is exactly what the Hyperborean myth claims. The creators of the unusual shape of Arctida were not the quirks of the elements, but its inhabitants themselves. And further Tradition speaks of even more incredible things. The inhabitants of Arctida were... not Earth-born creatures. People, their contemporaries, called them alvas. But in the memory of mankind they remained as the race of Hyperboreans. But they were not “aliens” in the modern sense of the word. They did not come to Earth on spaceships from distant stars. They did not know this need at all - to overcome Space. Because, as Tradition testifies to them, they were wanderers along the World Tree. The image of the World Tree is preserved to this day by legends of many nations. Especially the northern hemisphere. They come into this world and leave it along the World Tree. Moving along its trunk and branches, they make transitions between worlds. The top of this Tree reaches the heavens, the luminaries, and the stars. Its roots penetrate to unimaginable depths. All this has been preserved by legends. The image of the World Tree is presented in them in relief and brightness. But outside of Tradition, now practically no one knows what the Ancients meant in this concept. The concept of the World Tree (or Tree of Worlds) is key to the cosmogony of the Northern Tradition. This image concentrates the doctrine of the Three Laws of Space. Similarly, in any other case, all alternatives are realized. Moreover, the more the alternatives are incompatible, the greater the distance the corresponding worlds are separated in Space. The number of worlds thus increases unlimitedly in Space. Or: The Creation of the World continues now as well as in the first fundamental Seven Days. Or another way: The Seven Days of Creation are eternal.
The unfolding of Space is reminiscent of the unfolding of a seed into a tree. The seed realizes both mutually exclusive alternatives of growth direction: upward growth (stem primordium) and downward growth (root formation). Further, the root and trunk branch. Some branches stop developing or dry up (unsuccessfully chosen paths), but in general the number of growth points increases. Even if we assume the possibility of this journey, how long will it take? But this is the case when traveling in the external environment. The internal, deep path connects the root and crown almost instantly. The life-giving juices of the roots go to the leaves, and the juices of the leaves go to the roots. And the speed of this movement of life, seemingly well known, is so great that it makes us assume the presence of a Hidden Force. An analogy from the field of medicine: it is shown that when a narcotic substance is injected into a person’s blood, it already affects his brain within a split second (!). Neither the speed of blood flow, nor, especially, osmosis through the filtering walls of blood vessels and the blood-brain barrier can be so high from the point of view of physics. Likewise, in the Universe there is a “dimension” that instantly connects the Depths of worlds very far apart from each other. By the Depth of a planet or star, the teaching of the Closed Cross implies a point that spatially coincides with the geometric center of a given celestial body, but is not identical to it, since it belongs to “other dimensions.” The race that possessed this knowledge called the Depth the Alva point. Thus, Philolaus of Croton (a student of Pythagoras, who was called the Hyperborean) spoke about the World Fire or the Hearth of the Universe. A dark echo of Hyperborean wisdom remains the teaching of the East about the earth's sun as just a mirror carried around the Earth, and this mirror reflects the light of the true Sun of the Universe, around which the Earth and, in general, all the planets of the Cosmos revolve. The third law says: the measure of contact is Love. Observing our own soul, we notice: it cannot come into contact with anything (truly understand anything) if it does not love it. Prejudice leads to poor understanding. And on the contrary, how great is the soul’s ability to experience “in advance” sympathy for the subject of knowledge, so complete and voluminous will this knowledge, contact be. The Northern Tradition teaches: just as the soul knows any specific object, the race of Wanderers knows any specific world on the Tree of Worlds. In principle, all the worlds of the Tree are available to those who master the art of traveling through worlds. But the degree to which each specific world is accessible is determined by the degree of capacity for love of the Wanderer race. The inhabitants of the lower spheres are not visible to some planets and constellations known to us.
