Better late than never: Eight Moscow beaches. Better late than never: Eight Moscow beaches Recreation areas without swimming

On hot summer days, it is vital for every person to somehow cool down. An excellent way to do this is bathing. Of course, it is best to go on vacation somewhere by the sea and enjoy the clean and gentle water there. You can go out of town, for example to your dacha or village, and happily splash around in the local pond.

But what should those residents of Moscow do who do not have the opportunity to escape from the capital in the summer and experience all the delights of water activities? Fortunately, they were also lucky, because in the capital there are several places where swimming in the summer is officially allowed. One of them is the Levoberezhny beach (Moscow), located near the Rechnoy Vokzal metro station.

Swimming in Moscow in summer: is it possible?

Surely many residents of such a large metropolis as Moscow often wonder whether it is even possible to swim in local reservoirs. After all, we live in a big city with a huge number of cars and a rather polluted environment.

However, not everything is so bad in the Russian capital, and you can find a place where you can swim safely in the summer months. Every year, Rospotrebnadzor checks everything. This research and a variety of other aspects become the criteria on the basis of which a list of beaches is compiled where you can not only sunbathe, but also swim.

Before the start of the swimming season in Moscow, which usually starts on June 1, a list of permitted beaches is published in various media, so every resident of the metropolis can freely find out about them.

What are the requirements for swimming areas?

What must be on a beach to be considered suitable for swimming? Firstly, it is high-quality water in the place where it is located. The reservoir must be suitable for swimming and meet all microbiological and sanitary-chemical standards. This is exactly what Rospotrebnadzor establishes through laboratory research. The sand available on the beach, play areas designated specifically for children, and

In order for the beach area to meet all the necessary requirements, all last year’s sand must be removed from it. The reservoir must be cleared of foreign debris, and its disinfestation must also be carried out. The entire beach area must be cleaned and the toilets cleaned.

An examination is required by divers working in the Moscow City Search and Rescue Service. They conduct an initial survey of the water, then and finally a repeat survey when the swimming season is already open.

In places of mass bathing there should be no whirlpools, fast currents or groundwater outlets to the surface. There must be signs on the shore that say “Swimming Place,” and in the water, the boundary of a suitable swimming place is marked with orange buoys. They should be located at a distance of up to 25 meters from those places where the depth is 1.3 meters or more, and the intervals between them should be 25-30 meters.

Every 50 meters of the beach there are stands with lifebuoys and cords. They should be no more than 5 meters away from the edge of the water. Of course, there must be rescue booths and medical stations.

Allowed places for swimming in the capital

By the beginning of the 2016 swimming season, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations for the city of Moscow declared only 12 reservoirs suitable for swimming, but as many as 47 beaches were named where you can relax without swimming. It was noted that in 2015 there were the same number of places for swimming, so you can count on the fact that in 2017 there will be no less, and maybe even more.

The list of vacation spots where you can cool off in a local pond includes:

  • Levoberezhny beach (Moscow);
  • three beaches in Serebryany Bor;
  • beach complex "Beach Club";
  • large garden pond;
  • three places in the large city pond and Black Lake;
  • Lake Beloe;
  • Meshcherskoe;
  • Troparevo.

Beach in the north of Moscow

Organized recreation areas where you can swim safely in the summer are located in different areas of Moscow, and even in Zelenograd. In the very north of the city there is the Levoberezhny beach, reviews of which claim that this place is perfect for family and youth recreation both on a hot day and at any time of the year.

In general, this beach appeared here back in the 50s of the last century, so the indigenous residents of the area have been coming here to swim for many years. When the swimming season is not yet open, people come here to cook barbecue, sit with friends and simply enjoy nature by the water and take a walk in a pleasant place.

The Levoberezhny beach in Moscow (Russia) is quite well equipped. For those who come here by car, there is free parking, designed, however, for a small number of spaces. There is also a parking lot equipped with special places for bicycles. So, no matter where Whether the guests arrive in their own transport, they can always leave it nearby. However, on a hot day, finding a free parking space for a car is very difficult for those who decide to visit the Levoberezhny beach (Moscow). Not only residents of the surrounding areas know how to get here , so there are a lot of people who want to visit this place in the summer.

The beach is located in a small bay. Due to the fact that various ships that often ply along the canal do not pass through it, it is quite clean and even warms up almost to the bottom. However, approximately in the middle of the bay there are cold springs, which it is better not to fall into, otherwise your legs may cramp.

Since the beach was formed thanks to a quarry that was used to build a canal, the sand on it is local and quite coarse. Sometimes there may be stones, so you should walk barefoot very carefully. The bottom is also sandy, the entrance to the water is neat and gentle. There is also a special place on the beach intended for children to swim.

Beach improvement

Since the Levoberezhny beach (Moscow) came under the jurisdiction of the State Autonomous Institution of Moscow “Museum and Park Complex “Northern Tushino” in 2015, large-scale reconstruction and improvement work has begun here.

What is on the beach for vacationers

Today, guests of this place will find benches for relaxation, nice gazebos, all kinds of bridges and ladders, and neat paths. For city residents who are interested in sports, a whole sports area has been created, which has various exercise equipment and a special fenced area where you can play volleyball. For children, there is a whole playground with various slides, swings and a sandbox.

There are lifeguards and a medical service on the beach, there are special changing cabins, showers and toilets. Those guests who get hungry during their stay here can have a snack in the cafe available here.

How to find Levoberezhny beach

Having learned about such a wonderful place, many residents of the city, who for some reason did not suspect its existence, will definitely want to visit the “Levoberezhny” beach (Moscow). How to get there? This question will definitely occupy their thoughts, so it is necessary to quickly answer it.

The beach is located within the city on the left bank of the Moscow Canal, not far from the place where the Moscow Ring Road intersects with the Leningradskoye Shosse. The easiest way to get here is from the Rechnoy Vokzal metro station. To do this, you need to take bus number 138, 958 or 270 or minibus 138m or 701m. You need to get off at the Internat stop, from which you have to walk about 600 meters.

It takes longer to get from the Planernaya metro station. You will need bus number 173 or minibus 176m, which will take citizens to the stop “Pribrezhny Passage, Building 7”. From there you will have to walk about a kilometer. The Khovrino railway station is also located nearby. From here you can also get to the beach if you take a bus going towards the reservoir.

Impressions of beach guests

Many residents of the capital go to relax on the Levoberezhny beach (Moscow). Reviews about this place are more positive. People like how everything has been improved here. Free toilets and the presence of a cafe make vacationers very happy. However, some people lack sun umbrellas and sun loungers, which are not available here.

What disappoints many people is that there are a lot of people here on the hottest days. But this is understandable, because everyone wants to swim. It is also confusing that there are power lines very close by. Most likely, this place will not be very popular for those who want to relax in silence. After all, the music plays quite loudly in the cafe, so you won’t forget about extraneous sounds on the beach.

st. Tamanskaya, 2nd and 4th lines of Khoroshevsky Serebryany Bor

The forest area on the banks of the Moscow River boasts three beach areas separated from each other. True, only two of them - beaches No. 2 and No. 3 - are allowed to swim. The local infrastructure cannot boast of integrity, but it still exists. For example, for 500 rubles per day you can rent a sun lounger, A for 300 rubles per hour, place your child in the safe hands of playground workers. It is generally accepted that Bor-2 is more suitable for family vacations, while Bor-3 is an ideal place for young people. However, there is no big difference between the public and the range of services provided on both beaches. In both places, for a fee of 100 to 300 rubles per hour, you can play table tennis, checkers, chess, backgammon, badminton, beach volleyball and even billiards. Barbecue grills, music from mobile phones and companies drinking draft beer from plastic cups are included.

A bicycle is the fastest way to arrive in Serebryany Bor, because a car requires a special pass. There is also a trolleybus from the Oktyabrskoye Pole station. It has a final stop near the entrance to the recreational area. So, the beach itself. Quite wide, with a gentle descent into the water. There is a paid one, with sun loungers and a lounge. I usually stay in the free zone. There is a playground with good sand where tanned men play volleyball. There is a minimal beach bar. Mostly residents of nearby areas come here. Sunbathe and have a picnic right away. Usually the audience is quite intelligent. Unlike, for example, the beach in Pirogovo, they don’t turn on the speakers with their playlist, but peacefully scroll through the tablet, not forgetting to roll over and rub Lancaster cream on her friend’s back.

The water, by the way, is almost always clean in all samples. Because this is the upper reaches of the Moscow River. But be careful, don’t swim into the middle of the river: boats with water skiers periodically pass there.

This year, Moscow was covered in heat that was unusual for our latitudes. And not for a week, but for 1.5-2 months (until the end of July), weather forecasters promise temperatures around +30 °C, and only rare rain showers... Where can city residents swim within the capital?

You can swim in the Moscow River within the city, but be careful and not everywhere. In the north-west, the river is not yet too polluted, and therefore in Rublev, Strogino, Serebryany Bor and Troitse-Lykovo there are equipped beaches where Muscovites traditionally swim and sunbathe. But as it passes through industrial areas, the Moscow River already accumulates a large supply of heavy metals, harmful organics and petroleum products, and therefore it is prohibited to dive into water on the central embankments and in the south-eastern part of the city.

The swimming season in the capital officially opened on June 1 and will be extended until September 1, the beaches are open from 9-00 to 21-00.

In 2016, consumer supervision officially issued permission to operate the following city beaches:

Recreation areas with swimming Serebryany Bor-2 (Tamanskaya Street);

Beach No. 2 Serebryany Bor-3 (4th line of Serebryany Bor);

Beach No. 3 3 holiday resort “Meshcherskoe” (Boskresenskaya street, 5-31);

Lake Beloe (3aozernaya street, 2/6).

The Levoberezhny beach at the Khimki reservoir is also open (address: Pribrezhny passage, property 5-7).

In the city of Zelenograd you can swim in the Big City Pond (Victory Park, driveway 4922), in Lake Black in the 6th microdistrict and in Shkolnoye Lake (10th microdistrict).

In the recreation areas "Tropapevo" on the street. Akademika Vinogradova, building 12, and in the Beach Club beach complex on Leningradskoe Shosse, property 39, from June 24 of this year, swimming is temporarily prohibited due to inconsistency of water quality o microbiological indicators.

Rublevsky beach in Myakininskaya floodplain is the cleanest and most environmentally friendly. Entrance to it is traditionally paid, which prevents marginal elements from entering the recreation area. You can sunbathe on the sand and on the lawn grass; there is accompanying infrastructure: toilets, changing cabins, showers, a first-aid post, fast food establishments, children's and sports grounds. Next door is a boat station where you can rent a boat, catamaran or water skis. You can get there on your own from the Krylatskoye, Molodezhnaya or Shchukinskaya metro stations, by bus or minibus.

Vacationers are attracted to Serebryany Bor by the aroma of pine trees, clean sand and an abundance of sports fields. Beach areas are numbered due to the large length of the coastline. Beach volleyball, ping-pong, and badminton players traditionally gather here; You can rent a boat, jet ski and even a speedboat. The beach area is also equipped with all the necessary infrastructure: cabins, benches, toilets, hammocks. The sandy bottom provides comfortable entry into the water. Nudists sometimes sunbathe on the wild beach (No. 5). Directions from the Polezhaevskaya metro station - by minibus.

On beach No. 2 there is a children's playground with trampolines, swings, slides and a small pool. You can rent a sun lounger and water sports equipment.

Lake Meshcherskoye (another old Moscow beach area) can be reached from the Yugo-Zapadnaya metro station or from the Vostryakovo and Peredelkino railway platforms. The lake is small, so on hot days there are a lot of people near the water. Next to the beach there is a picnic area and sports grounds. The place is noisy and crowded, but, alas, these are the “charms” of a big city.

Lake Beloye is located in the village of Kosino, on the border with Moscow. You can get to it from the Vykhino metro station, then by any minibus or bus traveling through the village of Kosino. The second option is to walk from the Kosino railway station past the traffic police to the village of Kosino (about 1 km). The shore is sandy, you can sunbathe on the grass by spreading a towel. The depth of the lake is 23 meters, there are places where there are cold springs, so it is not recommended even for good swimmers to swim far. In the recreation area there are stalls with drinks, ice cream, pastries and sandwiches.

blue water

For those who do not like outdoor recreation, there are outdoor swimming pools in Moscow, where for a different fee you can swim in clear water and sunbathe while lying on a sun lounger or under a canopy. In addition, the water in the pools is heated to a comfortable temperature when it is cool outside.

The Luzhniki swimming pool is one of the oldest outdoor city swimming pools. To be more precise, there are two pools here: a sports pool and a beach pool. Spending the whole day in the aqua complex on weekdays will cost 1,200 rubles, on weekends – 1,500 rubles. A juice bar, food court, locker rooms with individual lockers, sun loungers under the aerium, showers, children's and volleyball courts will allow the visitor to feel as comfortable as possible. Children under 6 years old are not allowed in the large swimming pool.

The Chaika sports complex is one of the most popular open-air swimming pools. Visitors sunbathe on the stands around the pool; on the territory there are locker rooms, showers, a sauna, gyms, two restaurants and a cafe. Two hours of relaxation on an all-inclusive basis will cost the visitor 1,000 rubles, and the whole day – 2,000 rubles.

The swimming complex MOCVS near the Semenovskaya metro station (Neptune Swimming House) has two pools: indoor and indoor. Here, vacationers are provided with sun loungers, and swimming lessons are provided with an instructor. 1 hour of swimming costs 350 rubles, as in most ordinary district swimming pools.

“The pool” in Sokolniki Park with wooden piers around the water is loved by Muscovites for its beautiful interiors and service. Here you can rent not only a sunbed, but also a towel, mattress, and swimming accessories.

The pools of some fitness clubs (World Class Kuntsevo, Vitasport on Shchukinskaya, Oktyabrsky Pole and Sokol) and the rooftop pool of the Sky Club fitness club can only be accessed using club cards.

The pool at the Planernaya OSSC is an open place for swimming on the territory of the sports base. It is quite democratic, inexpensive, no medical certificate is required, but there is no sunbathing area.

Finally, the beach on the roof of the Olympic pool provides vacationers with the opportunity to sunbathe on an artificial lawn with sun loungers and umbrellas. The cost of visiting a natural solarium is 250 rubles.

City beaches have begun to look more attractive: there are no longer traffic jams around, and the warm weather, according to weather forecasters, will last in the city for at least two more weeks.

True, the number of permitted swimming areas is constantly decreasing, as is everything that is permitted. At the beginning of summer, Rospotrebnadzor recognized ten reservoirs as suitable for swimming; by mid-summer there were already eight. It ended with the fact that by the beginning of August, only three reservoirs met the requirements of the inspection authorities in Moscow: “Serebryany Bor - 2”, “Serebryany Bor - 3” and the recreation area “Meshcherskoye” (on all the others, meanwhile, you can still play beach volleyball and picnics). The Village correspondent Varvara Gerneza visited Moscow beaches to find out what is happening there now.
