Zoklet Beach - everything you need to know. Paragon Beach in Nha Trang is a beach without waves. How to get there on your own How to get to pearl beach from Nha Trang

Bai Dai Beach Nha Trang or a multi-kilometer deserted and almost wild beach twenty kilometers south of the city. I had been planning to go to this beach for a long time, but it absolutely did not allow me to get out of the house over long distances. Fortunately, January in Nha Trang is still pleasing with more or less good weather, and before leaving we still managed to see one of the most beautiful beaches in Nha Trang :)

Very beautiful Bai Dai beach in Nha Trang

Bai Dai Beach Nha Trang. Description

Bai Dai Beach stretches for almost 17 km in the bay between the cities of Nha Trang and Cam Ranh. By the way, the very name of the beach Bãi Dài is translated from Vietnamese as “long beach”.

The long Bai Dai Beach (Bai Zai) stretches for almost 17 km!

Previously, there was a military base nearby and therefore this coastal part was inaccessible to tourists. Even now this part of the coast is not yet very popular among tourists, but luxury hotels are being built on the shore at a tremendous pace, some of which will open their doors this year, so that soon Bai Dai beach will be filled with vacationers :)

Hotel construction is in full swing along the coast
Very soon the luxurious villas will open their doors to tourists

Now most of Bai Zai Beach is completely wild and, therefore, unkempt; there is a lot of natural garbage on the beach, and in some parts the beach resembles a landfill.

Most of Bai Dai Beach is completely wild and there is a lot of natural debris.
There is garbage, no people!
Wild areas of Bai Dai beach
I really like landscapes like this
Landscapes of southern Vietnam: Bai Zai

But still, on the long seventeen-kilometer beach you can find almost a piece of paradise! We found two sections of the beach where you can calmly spend the whole day:

  • Beach next to the Dessole Sea Lion Beach Resort. Coordinates: 12.035087, 109.214825
  • The site is at the very beginning of the beach under the mountain. Coordinates: 12.110496, 109.193802

Beach, sand, sea, waves, shadow

The beach strip of Bai Dai Beach is very long; lovers of walks along the sea will be pleased :) The beach itself is quite narrow.

The sand on Bai Dai Nha Trang is white and very fine, green grass grows near the shore. The sea is bright turquoise, and the combination of white sand, bright green grass and azure sea at Ban Zai reminded me of a chic one!

The landscape is almost like near our Parayso Beach Hotel in Tulum in Mexico
Almost Mexican landscapes :)
The sand on the beach is fine, white and fluffy
There are pebbles and shells near the water's edge

There are always waves in the sea at Bai Dai Beach in winter, but they don’t seem as huge as on. The sea is shallow, the entrance to the water is gentle. But swim in some places on Ban Dai beach dangerous! The shallow sea and small waves create the illusion of safety, but in fact, there are reverse currents (rip currents) in the sea here, so you need to be very careful when swimming on this beach, swim only in strictly designated areas and do not swim too far!

These are the waves on this beach in winter
The waves on Bai Zai Beach are very dangerous! Rip currents meet here
In some areas of the beach there are posters warning that swimming is dangerous.

There is almost no natural shade on Bai Zai Beach. If you are going to this beach for the whole day, you should either take an umbrella with you, or rent a sun lounger under an umbrella, or look for a few places with shade.

There is very little shade on the beach
There is not much vegetation near the shore that provides shade

Infrastructure

Most of Bai Dai beach is completely wild and there is no infrastructure nearby. Small plots belong to a few hotels: of course, the hotels have all the necessary infrastructure, including beach beds and umbrellas, but they are not rented out to non-hotel guests even for a fee.

At the very beginning of the beach, under the mountain, there is a row of cafes, next to which you can leave a bike for 5,000 dong, where you can also rent a beach chair under a canopy. At the cafe you can dine on fresh seafood or drink a cup of Vietnamese coffee. Locals love to come to these cafes on Bai Dai Beach on weekends! The noisy Vietnamese are a real pleasure :) But on weekdays it’s empty.

If you drive a little further south (or walk along the seashore from a row of cafes along the beach a little to the right), you will find a very nice place with several sun loungers under umbrellas. Here, normal sunbeds (not chairs!) can be rented for only 50,000 VND per person.

At the very beginning of the beach under the mountain there are several cafes where you can eat inexpensive seafood and rent a beach chair under a canopy. There are crowds of Vietnamese here on weekends!

Bai Dai Beach hotels

At the moment, there are only four hotels open on Bai Dai, I already talked about them in.

You must understand that when choosing a hotel on Bai Dai beach, you find yourself in a reservation, almost like somewhere in the desert in Egypt :) There are no cafes or shops nearby. I’m not even sure if you can rent a bike at the hotel... Of course, a taxi to Nha Trang is at your service.

Bai Zai Beach: how to get there

Bai Zay Beach is located on the way from Nha Trang to Cam Ranh Airport, from the center of Nha Trang to the beginning of the beach about 22 km. Organized excursions, such as, for example, to Doc Let beach, to Bai Zai beach, fortunately, are not available yet :)

You can get to Bai Zai Beach by:

1. Taxi. A taxi from to Bai Dai Beach will cost about 200,000 VND one way (not by meter, by meter it will be more expensive! Negotiate the price in advance!) or approx. 400,000 – 500,000 dong waiting for you for several hours.

2. By bus. Because The beach is located on the way to the airport, so you can get to it by bus No. 18. I posted the schedule of this bus in. Bus number 18 stops at stops with orange signs. Just tell the conductor that you need to go to Bai Dai beach, he will tell you where to get off. On the way back, you just need to go to the stop and look out for the bus. Only you will have to stand in the dust and in the very heat, there is no shade. The fare is 30,000 VND per person.

Bus stop No. 18 on the road along Bai Zai Beach

3. On a bike. The best way to get to Bai Zai Beach is by bike. The road is not difficult, as soon as you leave Nha Trang and drive through, the traffic will become much calmer than in the city. The road to the beach passes by picturesque mountains, beautiful landscapes open up and it seems that you are no longer in Nha Trang :) Even the air becomes different - clean, mountain-sea :)

Bai Dai Beach review and photos

Bai Dai Beach is an excellent place for relaxation and a photo shoot: beautiful nature, few people (on weekdays), fine sand, warm sea. The bright landscapes are pleasing to the eye, especially if you know how to ignore the garbage around: yes, there is garbage, where would we be without it, after all, the beach is almost wild.

Paragon Hotel Beach, (Nha Trang, Vietnam) - location, description, opening hours, entertainment and infrastructure. Useful tips and practical information from “Subtleties of Tourism”.

  • Tours for May Worldwide
  • Hot tours Worldwide

The beach of the Paragon Hotel (The Paragon 3*) is considered a luxury beach in Nha Trang. It is located on the territory of a three-star hotel, but entry here is open not only to its guests. The main advantage of the beach is its well-developed infrastructure and the proximity to all points of the city. The beach is located in the center of Nha Trang, and no matter where you stay, it will be convenient to get here on foot, by public transport, or for a very reasonable price by taxi.

The area in which the Paragon Hotel is located, along with its magnificent beach, can be called the “Nha Trang Rublevka” - it is considered elite and the most expensive in the city. There are luxury villas and apartments for rent here, as well as several excellent hotels, including Paragon. The hotel's beach has excellent conditions for recreation for every taste. And, perhaps, such active entertainment will not be available here as, for example, on the Central City Beach, but here you can enjoy peace and quiet.

The beach of the Paragon Hotel is located in the center of Nha Trang, and no matter where you stay, it will be convenient to walk here, take public transport or, for a very reasonable price, take a taxi.

Entrance to the beach is available to everyone, moreover, it is free. However, you will have to shell out a pretty penny to rent a sun lounger and parasol. You are unlikely to be able to sit on a towel here, because the entire beach is occupied by sun loungers. But the sun loungers here are truly luxury class - with soft mattresses on which you can lie all day. It is precisely because of the relatively high price for renting beach equipment that there is not a large influx of tourists here, which is why the beach is considered elite.

The beach at the Paragon Hotel is quiet and calm even in high season. The best time to visit it is considered to be the months from April to October. This beach is artificial; the coastal waters are separated from the open sea by a small dam, which protects them from high waves and strong winds. There are excellent conditions for families with children, the descent into the sea is gentle, the bottom is flat, without stones. The sand is not natural, but imported, but it is amazingly soft. The beach itself is very clean - the hotel staff carefully monitor this.

Local fishermen live on small islands opposite the beach, which creates an amazing contrast: on one side there are luxurious villas, and on the other there are colorful fishing huts.

The beach line is not too wide, since the hotel territory is located above. And the beach is not too long, but even despite this, there are no crowds of tourists here. This is probably why there is not a lot of entertainment offered here, with the exception of jet skis. And you won’t see cafes and restaurants on the beach - after all, there is a hotel nearby, the beach of which was originally intended only for guests. It is necessary to take care of meals in advance or have a snack at the restaurant of the Paragon Hotel.

Paragon Hotel and its beach

Practical information

Getting to the beach of the Paragon Hotel is not difficult - public transport runs here, and all local taxi drivers know where it is. The hotel is located in the south of the city, not far from the cable car to the Vinperl entertainment island.

Entrance to the beach is free.

Address: Nha Trang, An Vien Eco-tourism Area-Vinh Nguyen Ward.

I’ll tell you about the south of Nha Trang, or more precisely about Paragon Beach in Nha Trang and the cottage village of An Vien, on whose territory this beach is located. In winter, there are often storms in Nha Trang, the sea does not become swimmable due to strong waves, so many tourists look for a beach in Nha Trang without waves. Paragon Beach is exactly like this: due to the breakwater built along the shore, a small backwater is formed, in which the sea is always calm.

On the territory of An Vien near Paragon beach

Where is Paragon Beach

Paragon Beach is located in the south of Nha Trang, near the cable car station to Vimperl, on the territory of the An Vien cottage village, about 6 km from the tourist center of Nha Trang. The exact location of Paragon Beach is on the map at the bottom of the article.

Paragon Beach Nha Trang: how to get there

Getting to Paragon Beach in Nha Trang is very easy, because... There is public transport to the cable car station at Wimperl! (yes, in Nha Trang, unlike most other resorts in Asia, comfortable buses travel around the city). So, you can get to Paragon Beach by:

  • Bus number 4. It runs from 5:30 to 18:30 approximately once every 20 minutes. You can take it towards Paragon at equipped stops: on the third line of the European Quarter, at the stop opposite Patrick Wine Bar, at the stop opposite Gorky Park. Fare 7,000 dong
  • By taxi. A taxi from the European Quarter to Paragon Beach will cost approximately 80,000 – 100,000 dong one way
  • On a rented bike. The cost of renting a bike in Nha Trang is from 100,000 VND per day + gasoline

If you decide to get to Paragon Beach by bus, then you need to get off at the final stop and walk a little forward to the entrance to the village of An Vien. Despite the fact that there is a guard at the entrance, entry to An Vien territory is free. Through the territory of the village to the beach itself, walk another 800 meters in the hot sun. There is no shadow!

We turn left and go towards the sea. There is no shade during the day, it is very hot to walk

An Vien Nha Trang village

Before we talk about Paragon Beach itself, a few words about the village of An Vien Nha Trang, on whose territory this beach is located.

An Vien is an elite cottage community with wide deserted streets, atypical for Nha Trang, and pretty white villas and houses. Some villas look almost like palaces :) Wealthy Vietnamese who live in and buy houses here, and the offices of some companies, for example our tour operator Pegas, are located here. A lot of houses are rented out for a long period of time.

Almost a palace! 🙂

Despite the constant construction, An Vien is very quiet and sparsely populated; on the wide roads you can learn to ride a bike or rollerblade; it’s nice to stroll along the small promenade along the sea in the late afternoon, when the heat subsides.

Wide empty roads - you can rollerblade :)

In the village there is a European kindergarten (or school?): Kid Castle International School.

As for housing prices in An Vien, the situation is as follows: a house with 4-5 bedrooms can be rented for 1000 – 1500 dollars per month under a long-term contract, a house with 2 bedrooms - for 500-800 dollars per month. Of course under contract from of the year.

Some Russian centenarians make a small “business” out of this: they rent a house with five bedrooms for ~$1,200 a month, live in one of the rooms themselves, and rent out the other four for $250-350 a month. It turns out that they not only recoup the cost of renting a home, but also earn a little money :)

The biggest disadvantage of An Vien village is the almost complete lack of infrastructure. In the vast territory we saw only one cafe + pizzeria at the entrance to the complex. There are no layouts with water-fruits here, i.e. For every little thing you have to go to the city. Here it is far from the same as in the European region of Nha Trang: you leave the apartment, and in a couple of steps everything you need for life: cafes, fruits, juices, shops with water and beer, etc. and so on. Those. despite the fact that An Vien is an elite village, a lot of things here are not thought out, and are not very well maintained, unlike, for example, near Mumban (Mumban is a village), where there is always a free swimming pool and a fitness room, as well as shops and cafe.

Paragon Beach got its name from the hotel it belongs to - Hotel . I read somewhere that this beach was made specifically for this hotel and for some reason a breakwater was built perpendicular to the shore, which forms a natural pool with sea water. But in our opinion, this place was intended as a parking lot for yachts, which, according to the plan, should have been owned by the inhabitants of the elite village of An Vien. But there are not many yachts here, so we decided to equip the beach :)

Paragon Beach: a breakwater has been built parallel to the shore. Most likely this place was supposed to be a mooring for yachts of wealthy residents of the village of An Vien

Be that as it may, Paragon Beach is now a popular holiday destination among tourists and long-livers with small children, because it is the only beach without waves in Nha Trang in the winter (although, to be honest, it doesn’t happen year after year and now, in November, the central beach Nha Trang is quite suitable for swimming; we can say that there are no waves).

The sand on Paragon beach is very fine and almost white, the entrance to the sea is gentle, it is very shallow here, we are uncomfortable swimming, we love the deep sea. But for those who can’t swim, this is the best :)

Very shallow sea at Paragon Beach

Entrance to Paragon Beach is paid - 20,000 dong (~ $ 1) per person. If all the sunbeds are not occupied by guests of Paragon Villa Hotel, then you can rent a sunbed under an umbrella for 60,000 VND (~ $3).

For 3 dollars you can rent a sun lounger under an umbrella.
And these are sun loungers and umbrellas from the Paragon Villa Hotel

Unfortunately, there is no other beach infrastructure on Paragon: toilet, shower, etc. and so on. are missing.

Praywish Hotel is an inexpensive hotel with a swimming pool, literally a 5-minute walk to Paragon Beach. There are rooms with a kitchenette. Cost ~ 15 dollars, rating 7.7

Verano Hotel is a new hotel near the beach. Cost ~ $31, rating 7.8

An Vien Villamar Apartments are excellent inexpensive apartments with a kitchen. Cost ~$25 per night. Rating 8.4

Conclusions and reviews

Paragon Nha Trang beach and the An Vien cottage village are suitable for those who choose a very quiet holiday on a calm beach and are not lazy to go to the city for dinner :) A good holiday destination in Nha Trang with small children in the winter.

Paragon Beach Nha Trang on the map

Paragon Beach and other useful places of Nha Trang on the map

Nha Trang is one of the most popular resorts in Vietnam, attracting tourists from all over the world. And it’s not surprising, because the beaches of Nha Trang offer a vacation for every taste: youth with club entertainment until the morning or real relaxation in the bounty style. In this article you will learn about all the beaches in the city and its surroundings.

Tran Phu City Beach

Of course, the most famous beach in this area. This beauty stretches for seven kilometers, and it is continuous light sand. Its color is due to the fact that it has a special structure, these are the smallest particles of sea shells. The sand is not as fine as in Phuket, but it is very pleasant, walking on it barefoot is a pleasure!

A stunning embankment stretches along the coastline, from which you can go down to the beach. Although Chang Phu is located in the city center, there is a lot of greenery around. There are cute gazebos and benches. The surrounding area is clean, the park area and the beach are carefully cleaned, although there are leaves and tree branches on the sand. The beach is municipal, which means that from early morning local residents gather there to take morning exercise, do exercises or swim.

True, it’s not worth swimming here in winter. From November to March there is seasonal bad weather. The wind rises and drives the waves. Some daredevils, of course, decide to swim, but you definitely shouldn’t go to Chang Fu with children during these months. The rest of the time – beauty! The sand heats up in the sun; at lunchtime you will have to skip and skip to the sea barefoot. The bottom on Chang Fu is flat, gently sloping, the entry and depth are comfortable.

You can start trying Vietnamese cuisine right on the beach. There are a lot of different cafes and restaurants here, where they cook great food, especially in the part of the beach where it is located. But those who have already missed European dishes can also find a suitable establishment. Russian tourists, for example, adore the Gorky Park restaurant.

Tran Phu beach in Nha Trang is replete with signs in Russian, even in the menu you can find Cyrillic.

Calm Paragon Beach

Unlike the city center, where huge waves often rise, this place is calmer. This is a hotel beach.

How to get to Paragon Beach in Nha Trang?

Anyone can take bus No. 4 (fare 7 thousand dong), which runs on the third line. You need to get off at the last stop, Vinpearl, and walk another fifteen minutes on your own two feet. First, go a little in the opposite direction to the intersection and turn left there. Another option is to call a taxi from the terminal (costs approximately 80,000 VND).

In general, the journey by public transport takes about forty minutes. To get back, you need to come to the final stop. Often the bus is already accepting passengers or you will have to wait a maximum of a quarter of an hour.

Paragon Features

Paragon can hardly be called a beach in the literal sense of the word. If you look at the beaches of Nha Trang in the photo, it is immediately easy to recognize. It looks more like an artificial pool in a natural environment. The coastal part of the sea is fenced off by a rock. That is, in any weather there are no waves or debris that washes up during a storm. The sand is light, so the water looks turquoise. The sandbank is wide, which means small children will be at ease here.

Some people miss the liveliness of sea waves. But the partitioned space is quite spacious, and there is no impression of enclosure. And during a storm, which can last for several days, it is better to swim in such a closed beach than to admire the ramparts of Chang Phu.

Before heading back, you can rinse your feet near the villa, which is located on the edge. Behind the fence near the pool there is a hose with a tap. Locals are not shy about washing their feet there, and tourists also use it.

The downside is the modest size of the beach, few sunbeds and umbrellas. 40 thousand dong to pay for entry (children are free) plus another twenty for access to the sea. There is nowhere to eat, because there is a cafe only at the entrance. It is better to take snacks and water with you if you are going to visit Paragon Beach (Nha Trang).

Picturesque Pearl Beach

This beach is quite far from Nha Trang. The most convenient way is to book an excursion (at a Russian travel agency it will cost about 33 USD including a snack). Now some travel agencies from Nha Trang bring groups of tourists here. It’s difficult to get there on your own; buses don’t run.

How is Pearl Beach different from others?

Pearl Beach in Nha Trang is little known, which means there are almost no people on it. It is located south of Nha Trang. Entrance to the hotel (which includes the beach) is paid - 50,000 VND. There is a restaurant on the water and a magnificent stone lighthouse. There are huge boulders, palm trees, wooden houses on stilts all around - the views here are unforgettable. It’s worth going at least once to take beautiful pictures. If you are planning to take photos of white sand beaches in Nha Trang, then come here.

The beach is small but beautiful. During the season, the water is clean, warm, and there are no waves even during the day, unlike Nha Trang. Natural umbrellas, made from palm leaves. If you book an excursion, you will be given drinks and fruit on the beach. But in winter, the water becomes dirty: in the off-season, a lot of bags and other garbage wash up on the shore.

The downside is that the infrastructure is not developed at all (except for a lone restaurant and hotel) and it is far from Nha Trang. Overall, a nice place where you will feel calm and at one with nature.

Fun Beach Louisiana

Where is it located and how to get there?

Strictly speaking, there is no separate beach called Louisiana; it is part of the city beach, which belongs to the stunning cafe of the same name. Therefore, there is no point in writing separately about the sea - everything is the same as on Chang Fu. “Louisiana” is an establishment with its own brewery, so true lovers of the foamy drink flock here. Indeed, it has its own pool and beach. The cafe is located near the middle of the city beach.

You can get there on foot, if you walk along the city beach towards the cable car (Vinpearl), by taxi, telling the driver the name of the restaurant, or by buses No. 2, 4 or 5. The stop is called “Central Beach”, then walk a hundred meters to the lotus.

What's on Louisiana Beach?

The restaurant offers visitors comfortable sun beds with mattresses and sun loungers right next to the shore. The area is clean and well-groomed. Despite the sale of alcohol, the area is calm and visitors are not rowdy. Security guards monitor the belongings of vacationers and drive away annoying local sellers.

Waiters at Louisiana Beach (Nha Trang) serve people along the entire perimeter of the beach, quickly bringing beer and snacks. If there are waves at sea, you can use the pool. Facilities also include fresh showers and toilets. The price for renting a sun lounger is less than two dollars, a glass of 0.6 liters of branded beer is more than $3. You can also come up with promotions: 3 times a week from noon to one and from four to five in the evening, when you buy two 0.3 liter glasses, the third one is poured for free. By the way, the beer is excellent! They give you free salted nuts with it, you just have to ask the waiter.

The Internet connection is good at the tables by the pool, but there are interruptions on the trestle beds. Among the shortcomings: you are asked to leave the sun loungers that are located by the pool after four in the evening, because the Louisiana staff is preparing the tables for dinner. The restaurant (like its beach) is open from seven in the morning until one in the morning. The downside is that it is quite expensive compared to other places.

Overall a nice place. No one runs up and checks to see if you took a drink so that you can get a sunbed and splash around in the pool. In the evening there is live music on Louisiana Beach.

Deserted Bai Dai

Translated from Vietnamese, Bai Dai (pronounced in Russian as Bai Zai) means “long beach.” It really is like that - it stretches for as much as 15 km. There used to be a military base here, 20 km south of Nha Trang.

Bai Zay Beach, Nha Trang – how to get there?

You can get there by renting a car or taking a taxi. You can negotiate with the driver: for 500 thousand dong you will pay for the journey from the city and back with a wait. This is a common thing in Southeast Asia: the client is resting and the driver is waiting. Payment upon delivery in Nha Trang.

The beach, of course, is not as well-equipped as Chan Fu. There is natural debris everywhere: twigs, leaves, algae... But it’s not for nothing that Bai Zai is listed among the best beaches in Nha Trang. An atmosphere of peace and spirituality permeates everyone. The sea is clean and calm (waves only in winter). There are few people, but the landscapes are mesmerizing.

If you got here with a rented car or motorcycle, you can leave them in the “parking lot”. This is a small area where you can leave your iron horse. Locals take a bribe of only VND 5 thousand - for this money they will act as security guards. You don’t have to worry about transport, because for residents this is one of the main types of income (except for selling seafood).

Entertainment and prices for Bai Dai

Bai Dai Beach in Nha Trang is great for surfing: in winter there is a decent wave. You can rent a surf: you will have to pay 180 thousand dong for an hour. They offer different boards to choose from; in poor English, the owner will explain which one is best suited for what purpose. They take money only after returning the board - they trust you.

There is infrastructure only at the very beginning of Bai Zai, on the city side. There are several cafes there. The menus of local restaurants offer translations of dish names into Russian. True, it is difficult to understand what a snapper or triggerfish is. And the owners often don’t speak a word of Russian. Local merchants are not yet spoiled by tourists; they are happy even with a tip of 20,000 dong. Prices are low and customer service is friendly.

Behind the cafes there are long kilometers of wild beach with snow-white soft sand and crystal sea water. Locals remove marine debris at low tide. The Vietnamese don’t think much about recycling; they simply bury their finds in the sand. The entrance to the sea does not change depending on the tide: it remains flat, but the shallow water at low tide is small.

Fishermen are frequent guests here. They float on boats shaped like basins - it looks very authentic!

This is also a remote beach with no public transport. If you rent a bike, you can get from the center of Nha Trang to the beach in an hour. You have to be prepared that the traffic is crazy: on the road, trucks and trucks drive no worse than racers, and often motorcyclists rush into oncoming traffic. You will have to travel 65 km north of the city. You need to drive along the AN1 highway under your own power. When you see the Huyndai Shipyards sign, turn right.

Driving along the coast, you will see fishermen and smell the aromas of fresh fish. You will be convinced that your trip was not in vain. The place is magical, the kind you see in paintings. You can stay in a real bungalow. The owner is a man who is probably almost a hundred years old. For $65 a day you can live comfortably with three meals a day. Or you can pay for a one-time visit ($5).

You can drive between two hotels and in this no man's land everything will be free. If you are using a rented vehicle rather than a taxi, it is convenient to purchase gasoline from the locals. You will see green bottles at the front door of houses. Drinks can also be purchased. In general, “Jungle Beach” is a paradise! Clean beach, not crowded with people.

You can get to Vinpearl (by the way, it’s actually called Hon Che) by ferry by sea or by cable car. Of course, the second option is much more picturesque: you can admire the views of the sea and islands around. The cable car starts from the central ticket office of Vinpearl, near the Nha Trang port. The cost of a ticket per adult is 800,000 dong (about $35). The price includes funicular travel (both directions) and entrance to all parts of the park.

Things to do?

The park is simply wonderful! There is a lot of entertainment, but you can easily get lost. We advise you to take a free map and follow it.

Visitors to Vinpearl say that one day is not enough for a local amusement park; you will probably want to come again. There is an amusement park, an arcade, a shopping area with souvenirs and decorations (prices are higher than in Nha Trang), a water park, an electric sleigh, an aquarium, and even a fountain show!

On the beach - as always, white sand, crystal azure water (warmer than on the city shore), an abundance of sun loungers and umbrellas and no problems with finding a place. You can rent a jet ski, the cost of this pleasure is about $44/hour.

By the way, almost all the beaches of Nha Trang have stunning sand, which is loved not only by tourists, but also by sand flies. Insect bites are not dangerous, but they are very itchy, and the wounds take a long time to heal. Local pharmacies have the remedies, just show the stings to the pharmacist and they will give you the medicine.

You should also be careful with the sun. On the Vietnamese coast, even those who usually only get a tan get burned. Don’t be lazy to use strong sun creams, and then the beaches of Nha Trang will leave you only pleasant memories.

The beaches and attractions of Nha Trang are marked on the map in Russian.

And finally - a video from Nha Trang.

Holidays in Nha Trang attract tourists from all over the world for its versatility, but one of the strongest aspects of the resort remains beach holidays. Of course, the sights, history and culture of the Asian country are very tempting, but for many they pale in comparison to the opportunity to lounge on the soft sand and expose pale bodies, tired of winter, to the sun.

If you are also hungry for beach lounging, you have to decide which beaches in Nha Trang are worth visiting. During my stay in Nha Trang, my friends and I visited the top places and I’m ready to tell you about each one.

So let's get started.

Nha Trang City Beach

The largest, most popular and easily accessible beach of the resort stretches for 7 kilometers in the shape of a crescent. This is the so-called city beach of Nha Trang.

Every tourist will visit the city beach at least once, because the vast majority of hotels and inns are located along it.

How to get to the city beach

To get to the coveted sand, you will have to overcome one obstacle: a road with very active traffic. A feature of the Vietnamese, and the Asian movement in general, is the absence of any rules. Even if you are standing at a pedestrian crossing, numerous motorists and scooter drivers will not think of letting you pass. To safely reach the other side of the roadway, you should slowly and smoothly begin to cross the road, even if no one is stopping. The main thing is that your actions are predictable and understandable, then the drivers themselves will go around you.

After passing this test, you will find yourself on the embankment of the city beach.

My favorite restaurants on the City Beach Embankment

She really deserves attention. A real public garden with benches, gazebos, neat flower beds and designer-trimmed trees awaits you. This is a very popular place where both locals and visitors like to spend time. Here you can walk the dog, sit in a cafe admiring the sunset and sipping a cocktail, warm up on one of the exercise machines, make new acquaintances and just relax. The photo above shows the city beach and one of the most pleasant cafes and restaurants in Nha Trang: Gorky Park.

We repeatedly went to the Gorky Park restaurant, where they cook delicious borscht and mashed potatoes (50,000 dong or 2-2.5 dollars). There is a large selection of fish dishes (from 3 dollars to 15 for a non-delicacy dish), and the waiters try to speak Russian. Next to it is the Ponagar restaurant, where in the evenings a young man plays the guitar or a girl with a pleasant voice sings. Here you can order an inexpensive cocktail (2-3 dollars or 40-70 thousand dong) and enjoy the sunset or just sit looking at the sea. The “Louisiane Brewhoww” restaurant is also good, where for 20-25 dollars (500,000 dong) you can have a hearty meal together and wash down a salad with seafood and a second glass of craft beer.

Beach infrastructure and local climate

The simulators here are absolutely free and anyone can use them.

I'm sure, looking at the beaches of Nha Trang in the photo, you will probably see white sand and clear azure water. This is, of course, wonderful, but the city beach of the resort can only boast of coarse yellow sand mixed with shells and patches of algae, which is incomparable to the sand on the so-called Bounty Beach. The sea in Nha Trang is not the calmest, although in the morning, until about 10 o’clock, the waves are small and you can swim even with children. However, the waves do not prevent adults from enjoying swimming throughout the day! The sea temperature throughout the year does not fall below 25 degrees, and the coldest months are December and January.

Regarding amenities: there are sun loungers on the beach, but they are paid: around 40,000 dong per day (just under 2 dollars). This is for savage vacationers or visitors. If your hotel provides sun loungers and umbrellas, you naturally do not pay extra. There are several organized toilets on the beach, the entrance fee is 10,000 VND or 0.5 dollars. There is also a shower here for the same price. You can always go to one of the beach cafes to use the restroom. Regarding the changing cabins: we saw them only in the part where the Gorky Park restaurant is located. Although it is possible that in other places they are hidden behind trees or attached to cafes. Changing rooms are free.

Food and entertainment

You will never get bored on the city beach: there are hundreds of cafes here, locals will try to sell you goggles, swimming gear or a light snack. Only instead of “honey baklava” and “boiled corn”, as in the Black Sea resorts, they offer recently caught grilled sea reptiles or banana cakes. All this costs up to 5 dollars (up to 100 thousand dong), but in shops five minutes from the beach it is cheaper.

There are also numerous entertainment spots here. What we tried:

  • a banana ride for two lasts about 10 minutes and costs 20 dollars (450 thousand VND);
  • parachute ride for about 15 minutes - 20 dollars (450 thousand VND) per person;
  • ride on a water scooter 15-20 minutes - 550 thousand VND or 22 dollars;
  • catamaran rental - 26 dollars (600 thousand dong) for 1 hour;

In the evenings, the city beach is regularly cleaned, but tourists diligently throw up trash during the day, which spoils the whole impression.

Summary

Of course, this beach is not ideal: you may be accosted by an intrusive merchant, the cleanliness is far from being at the highest level, and due to the abundance of entertainment and cafes, there are always a lot of people here, and in particular Russian tourists. So you should choose this beach consciously, for the sake of convenient location or the presence of developed infrastructure. However, the privacy and natural beauty of the beaches in Nha Trang are also available, more on that later.

Bai Dai Beach (aka Bai Zai, aka Bai Dai)

If you thought that the city beach with its 7 kilometers is long, then what can you say about the 15-kilometer Bai Zai beach in Nha Trang? Compared to the city beach, it is not so crowded, which, however, is reflected in the infrastructure: there are significantly fewer cafes and other pleasures of life. Just 10-15 years ago, an active military base was safely located on the site of the current beach. Bai Dai began to be promoted in the last couple of years, and at the moment this place can be considered one of the most tempting beach holidays in Vietnam.

Indeed, sometimes you want to lazily lie on the white sand with the quiet sound of the sea nearby. By the way, this is where the sea is one of the calmest in Nha Trang, and the waves rise only in winter: from November to February. I think this is one of the best beaches not only in Nha Trang, but in the entire Southeast Asian region as a whole.

How to get to Bai Dai

From personal feelings I can say that the disadvantage of Bai Dai beach is its distance from the city, as well as the small number of hotels nearby. That is, for peace and quiet you will have to come in the morning and leave it in the evening. The distance to Bai Zai from Nha Trang is about 20 km. You can easily overcome them on a scooter, or you can order a taxi and be here in 20 minutes.

A scooter for a day will cost 7-10 dollars or 150-220 thousand dong; The cost of a taxi ride will be from 450 to 650 thousand dong (20-30 dollars).

Infrastructure

If you want to know which sea in Nha Trang Vietnam is the cleanest, then Bai Zai Beach is definitely worth visiting and swimming in the gentle and warm water. This sea will be especially appreciated by married couples with children.

I think it's only a matter of time before this place becomes wild. The construction of several hotels is already underway here at an active pace, and in the coming years this will be possible to see along the entire embankment. Of course, Bai Zai will become one of the most popular destinations among tourists, and the corresponding infrastructure will appear in the shortest possible time.

Already now, beach restaurants and cafes rent sunbeds, their cost is slightly higher than sunbeds on the city beach and amounts to 50,000 dong or a little more than 2 dollars. You can only see toilets on Bai Dai in cafes; many people change clothes there, since there are no separate stalls yet.

Doc Let Beach (Zoklet)

Not as long as Bai Zai, but much more distant - 45 km - from Nha Trang, Zoklet Beach is located, open to tourists and locals. It takes a long time to get here, so it’s worth setting aside a full day for a visit.

Doc Let is one of the most beautiful beaches in Nha Trang. Palm trees grow along the shore, the sea is turquoise and the sand is white. In a word, a place as close as possible to the heavenly Bounty. Waves are rare here, because Doc Let Nha Trang beach is protected from them by numerous small islands.

If you are not too lazy to travel 45 km north from Nha Trang, Zoklet is definitely worth your time and effort.

Most likely, your neighbors on the beach will be the same active and restless tourists, as well as the few fishermen who come here for their catch.

How to get to Zoclet Beach (Doclet)

It is preferable to get here by taxi. The journey on a scooter is tiring, so if you have someone to team up with to reduce the cost of the trip, do not miss this opportunity. The trip will cost on average from 700 to 1,200 thousand dong (30-55 dollars) - which taxi driver you get and how you can negotiate. Of course, this is the price for a round trip.

A more affordable way would be to take the bus. It runs from the center of Nha Trang (DienKhanh district) about once an hour, the final station is Zoklet. You will spend 1.5-2 hours on the road depending on the traffic congestion. A bus ticket costs about 1.5 dollars. You can get to DienKhanh by buses No. 1 and No. 4 in just 10 minutes (if you go from the embankment).

One way to get to Zoklet is to take a tour, for which different agencies charge from 10 to 30 dollars. Choose any Nha Trang street agency or contact the Russian information center where you can buy a tour. It includes transfer and lunch on the beach. It takes up the whole day.

If you are traveling on your own with a rented car or bike, do not miss the U Tena cafe or the White Sand Doclet hotel, which are the main landmarks of the beach.

Infrastructure

Entrance to this piece of paradise is paid. For an adult the price is 30, for a child – 15 thousand dong. The price includes parking for your vehicle, a shower on the beach and your stay on Zoklet. This is what numerous travel agencies will tell you, and this is what some vacationers will advise. But there is always a secret passage, and in this case it runs through a fishing village near the beach. You need to walk through it all the way to the sea, and then head along the coast towards the visible cafes and sun loungers.

The beach infrastructure is represented by restaurants and cafes, small shops, hotels, swimming pools, umbrella and sun lounger rental points. Renting an umbrella and a sun lounger will cost from 3 to 6 dollars per day (60-120 thousand dong). The two most popular cafes - “U Ten” and “U Sani” - will provide tasty and satisfying food for about 7-10 dollars per person (120,000-200 dong).

The fishing village has a small market where you can buy fruit and have a budget lunch. For two adults, it cost us about $8 for rice with seafood, two glasses of beer and one large watermelon.

Jungle Beach

Vietnam Nha Trang beaches are quite scattered from each other. Thus, one of the most interesting beaches, Jungle Beach, is located 60 km from Nha Trang. It is hidden behind the Heo Peninsula, but if you love the purity and color of nature, you should definitely visit it!

As the name suggests, Jungle Beach is surrounded by jungle. There are also picturesque mountains and a 12-meter-high waterfall! Swimming here after a swim in the sea is pleasant - the clean and cool water is invigorating.

How to get to Jungle Beach

If you get to Jungle Beach on your own, then take the AN1 highway to the north of Nha Trang. Once you reach the Huyndai ship building factory, drive around it from the south and you'll be on the beach within a couple of minutes. Allow 1.5 hours for the road to the beach, as some parts of the route are very busy and you can drive along them at a speed of 30 km/h. There is no public transport here; a taxi to Jungle Beach will cost from $40 (800,000 VND) one way.

Rest assured, the white sand, rocky mountains, waterfall and jungle are worth the 60 km trek!

Setting on the beach

I think fans of solitude and wild nature will definitely want to stay here. We wanted to, and rented a bungalow for the night. This can be done right on the spot; they are located a few steps from the beach and are perfectly visible. For the sake of greater comfort, you can sacrifice a slightly more tangible amount and rent a hotel room, the average cost is $30.

Our bungalow was called “Homestay” and cost about $25 per night. The amenities are minimal, but for unity with nature - just what you need!

On Jungle Beach you will often meet windsurfers who come to catch waves and in 90% of cases they get what they wanted. Due to the open area on this beach, the waves do not stop, only their intensity changes. Unfortunately, we did not find any rental points for special equipment; all surfers had their own equipment.

Paragon Beach

You can find out what kind of sea is in Nha Trang on Paragon Beach. It is named after the hotel to which it actually belongs.

To get to the fashionable Paragon beach, you can go through the territory of this very hotel and pay for a sunbed (about 3 dollars). After that, the whole day in this lovely place is at your disposal.

How to get to Paragon Beach

If you need to puzzle over how to get to other beaches in Nha Trang, then Paragon beats them in this matter: you can even get there by public transport. It is very close to the cable car to the amusement park , With Accordingly, you will not get lost looking for it! You can get there by city bus No. 4. When you reach the final point, get off the bus and look around.

You will definitely see signs for either Paragon Beach or An Vien Hotel. You need to enter the beach through it.

On Paragon Beach

This beach has a small area that is carefully monitored, so you are unlikely to see garbage of any origin here. The beach is surrounded by breakwaters, so the sea is calm and clean, you can safely send children swimming. Some people engage in amateur snorkeling and even catch crabs here!

Personally, Paragon Beach reminds me of an expensive European quarter. There are luxury villas along the entire embankment, everything is very civilized and calm. Moreover, in the evenings, beautiful lighting turns on, and you can take a walk with your loved one in a romantic atmosphere!

Sunbeds are paid, around 3 dollars, on the territory there are also changing cabins and gazebos where you can hide from the sun and have a snack or gather with friends.

Beach on Monkey Island (

Monkey Island)

If you have been at the resort for a long time and have already visited all the best beaches in Nha Trang, but want to try something new, you can head to Monkey Island.

In addition to active entertainment such as renting jet skis, parachutes and kayaks, there are cafes on the beach (lunch for two with drinks - about 15 dollars) and a go-kart track (entrance costs 80,000 dong, about 4 dollars), but the main attraction is the ubiquitous monkeys, thanks to which the island and gained fame.

How to get to Monkey Beach

There are several options. The easiest one is to book a tour at any street agency, of which there are hundreds on the streets of Nha Trang, which will include transfer, guide services and lunch. The cost per person is about 250,000 VND.

You can also get to the island from the North Port of Nha Trang, where regular bus No. 3 will take you in 20-25 minutes (a ticket will cost 1-2 dollars) or a taxi (about 15 dollars). The boat starts from here. A ticket to Monkey Island costs 120,000 VND ($6) per adult and half that for a child. This price is for round trip travel.

Explore Monkey Beach

On the island, some people go snorkeling and even diving. This is done mainly in the southern part of the beach - it is more rocky, and fish and crabs are found here. Many people bring equipment with them, they order diving from agencies in Nha Trang, and you can rent a mask, snorkel and fins for snorkeling right on the shore for 3-5 dollars.

Communicating with monkeys is, of course, a fascinating process, but for many it quickly becomes tedious. In particular, it is not recommended to leave things unattended.

Naturally, you need to follow safety rules, do not tease the animal, do not offend it, and do not bare your teeth, even if you smile with all 32 teeth (as I do in this photo). For the monkey this is a signal of aggression.

If you're heading to Monkey Island for the day, budget about $15 for snacks and drinks for two people.

Summing up

Which beach in Nha Trang is the best – it’s up to you to decide! A single rating is hardly possible. And yet, if we evaluate the beaches based on cleanliness, infrastructure and transport accessibility, I can draw the following conclusions:

  • the city beach is ideal in terms of accessibility, has a developed structure, but there are questions about cleanliness;
  • Zoklet will give you the opportunity to take a break from the hustle and bustle and crowds, but if you don’t want to travel far and want to relax in comfort and cleanliness, Paragon Beach is for you;
  • if a good beach is more important to you than amenities and travel time, then try Jungle Beach and Bai Zai, which, however, is becoming more and more equipped with infrastructure every year;

Come to Nha Trang and find your favorite!
